Buster Bro's originally started out as an arcade
game called 'Pang!' - at least in Europe it did anyway. This CD is an almost
exact replica of that arcade game. It was a fiendishly addictive game with
that rare 'just one more go' quality, and one of my favourites.
The idea behind the game is a simple but addictive one: giant coloured
spheres (balls, or balloons) are dropping from the sky, and only you can
help. You are armed with a spear gun with which you can 'pop!' the balloons
into
increasingly smaller ones. The game can be played by one or two players.
There are also many different levels to complete, a latter one is shown
to the left...
The graphics have been converted exactly from the arcade version, and
the gameplay remains as good as ever. The
only complaint that I can make against it, as with many other PC-Engine
and TG16 games, is that it is very easy to finish. That said, it is still
great fun to play, especially in two player mode...
