I don’t know why but of the few shows I have of Laura in Chile doing the Vina Del Mar Festivals, this is my favourite.     It could be the lights and the fact that it looks like it was recorded indoors with a big screen beside her. It could also be that she looks great. She doesn’t look that relaxed to me but a little nervous like she looked during the live performance she did over here on the Live At The Palladium show. I don’t know if this was her opening the Festival or closing it as she did 10 or 12 songs before and the same again, more or less, to close it.     The four songs I have are Self Control, Power Of Love, Gloria and Forever Young all sung totally live of course.

The most interesting is Self Control as half way through Laura starts to laugh (I don’t know what she saw in the audience...) and forgets the words to the song and from then I think her concentration went as the orchestra played the short album version but Laura sang the full length version, the end chorus being sung twice then she gave up and let the orchestra finish the song. 10/10 to them for keeping up with her! The fans were still singing  “oh,oh,oh... oh,oh,oh” all through the orchestra’s intro of Power Of Love so Laura  missed her cue for a few seconds...Magic stuff!
