Kandi & I are officially registered at the court house as Husband & Wife, as well as with our closest friends & a few family members that graced us with their presence to witness the joining of two special souls (ours).
We had a very Nontraditional wedding. I was wearing my family Kilt & Kandi was wearing a blue overlay lace dress.
All the girls wore hand made (by Kandi & the girls) head dresses.
We had the ceremony at a community center, locally.
The ceremony was performed by A dear friend of ours, Carol McCall.
Kandi Followed The Brides Maids, Trashelle & Heather Price (Daughters of the Bride); Matron of Honor, Megan Maynard; Ring Bearer, David Price (Son of the Bride) & flower girl, Danniel Causey, down the Aisle, On the arm of her Father.
The Scottish Pipes rang out as the bridal party made their way down to the "Scene of the Crime".
We went back down the aisle to the Bag Pipes Playing Amazing Grace.
I will have video footage available for you in the future.
We are closer, after today, than we ever have been to becoming a family.
July 4TH through July 8Th 2000
As our regular clients know, we were out of town for this time frame. We took a trip to Massachusetts.
We stayed at a private residence, located overlooking the Wessagusset Beach.
From there you can look out over the ocean, a short distance away,
viewing Boston, in one direction and Quincy and Charlestown in the other.
First we toured the, now Retired, U.S.S. Salem, (CA-139 Quincey-Built Heavy Cruiser).
It is very amazing how the crew lived, on that ship.
The sleeping quarters were very close, to say the least!
We, then, enjoyed a short 30 min. cruise on the Harbor Experss across the ocean, into Boston Harbor. Once at the Harbor we departed the vessel,
(which is also used as a water taxi for airport and city to city transport purposes).
Once in Boston,a trolley tour of Boston and Bunker hill (in Charlestown),
seemed fitting, while there.
We got to see lots of fascinating points of interest. Boston is filled with so much historical reminiscence, that really made a difference as to how the history of the United States of America progresses.
Paul Revere, who lived in Boston, for example; did you know he had 16 (sixteen) children?!?!
There's the Boston Tea Party and the U.S.S. Constitution, (of course). Which, we got a great view of the Boston Harbor, up close and personal, after the Trolley Tour of the town. This is where you will be able to really get a birds eye view of the U.S.S. Constitution, also know as "Ole Iron Side" .
Keep in mind these are not the only discoveries to be made there,
in the Boston Harbor.
Our son got to guide the tour vessel, 3/4 of the way, of the Harbor tour. Boy was he excited!!! This was totally unexpected. David (our son, which you can get a good view of on the home page of this site) was standing beside the vessels bridge. The captain asked if he wanted to drive. Of course David laughed, thinking that she was joking. She reassured him that she was serious. David then accepted the offer & was in the Captains chair in a flat second. He is 10 Years old. He made a good fill in captain, followed the instructions of The captain and had no trouble, at all. Get this, he has not really had too much experience on boats, thus far in his life, of any kind..
We do not yet have the photos developed, but will be posting them as soon as possible.
Ever wonder where the building is, (or if it even exists), that contain the unisex bathroom, that in showcased on the Alley McBeal show?
It is in Boston. The bar where Cheers was filmed, it too exists in Boston, Mass.
The First African American Army, (formed of freed slaves), for the U.S., it too was founded in Boston. Called the 2ND Regiment.
Rossie The Riveter, she too lived and worked in Boston. For those of you who do not know who she was, I will explain, if you go here; Rosie The Riveter
If you EVER get to take a trip to Boston Mass.
!.
First, Take the Trolley Tour of the town.
There are 18 (eighteen) stops, all at different points of interest.
The Trolley Driver will stop, pull the Trolley over to the side of the road and explain to all aboard, (as well as the passer-byers that can hear), the facts of what was once alive in Boston, being spouted over the P.A. system.
You are permitted to get off the trolley, look at each one, walking through the once blood soaked street and absorb the past as it is preserved and presented today.
When you are finished gathering the feel of what it was like to be alive at each amazing site to see; just hop the next trolley; which will pick you up where you exited the last and continue on your trolley tour of the town.
When you have finished the Trolley tour, you are complimented with a FREE Boston Harbor tour from May to October. This is at the next to the last stop. The 17TH stop.

There is actually several bits of current events in this section.
As of Oct. 24, 2000 Kandi began to lease a '90 dodge Caravan from Superior Cab, Owned by Richard De Rose. This has proven a grand investment. We are operating this superior cab, under Classic Cab. It is not colored or lettered any where close to Classic Cab, but it will due for now. This has helped to enhance the service to our customer base, making it more feasible for us to transport larger groups at a time.
As of late Nov. 2000, we have been joined by Ed Lambert Of Atlantic Cab. Ed was a Driver for Another Company, which Kandi was working for as well. Not even a month after Kandi's departure from that company Ed bought his own cab & joined the Classic Cab team as a partner, now we are stronger than before. With Ed's help we are now able to service more customer base, more efficiently. He owns a van, that seats, oh about 7-8 comfortably or as many as will squeeze in, at the end of a long Friday or Saturday Night (U know how it goes).
Thank you Ed for trusting in our team.
On December 14, 2000 Troy, Kandi & Heather were on HWY. 501, approaching the light at Forrestbrook Rd. After coming to a complete stop, the SCDOT van, behind us, used our Superior van to stop. Heather being 14 wasn't hurt, Thank God. Troy & Kandi Were hurt though. With neck, back & shoulder pain, life becomes hard to handle, on a daily basis.
On January 06, 2001 was our FIRST MARRIAGE ANNIVERSARY!! It feels like about 10 years. But we had a great time "Out on the town", celebrating.
Kandi recently purchased a very sexy extremely form fitting dress to suprise me with on our anniversary. Boy did she ever. There I was; sitting on the couch, playing Crazy Taxi (TM) & She had not long before, emerged from the shower. Kandi calls to me from the kitchen "OK, Troy, pause it" So I hit the pause button, remained seated & comfortable, not knowing what she had in mind. She sashayed into the room wearing this very sexy extremely form fitting dress. Completely Black, always looks best on her; with all that beautiful long blond hair & sea like blue eyes. This sight took my breath away!
Our First stop was to visit our dear friends The McCalls.
Then we went to dinner at Outback Steak House, in Garden City. It was quite nice. The seats were comfortable, the atmosphere was pleasant, the wait staff was very delightful & helpful, as well as tolerant of our long conversations & immediate indecision on our selections from the menu. We lingered for desert. The food was GREAT! The portions are large. This is a great place to go to get the most from your hard earned dollars, as well as quality food The chocolate covered cheese cake was to die for. We spent a long wile just enjoying the moments we had togehter .
When we left there; we had to stop off at The Dog house South for a quick one & then headed home, (A few Blocks Away). (Thanks Doc & carol)
Well, I won't go any farther. It ended in a very passionate evening. We did a bit of getting closer on this night. It is a good thing we have such occasions, it gives us a chance to reunite in the way that made us decide it was right for us to get married in the first place. I can't wait till next year. Kandi already has ideas of what she will plan for us to do!! (That's right, guys,if you want her to enjoy the moment, it is best to trust her enough to trust that she will know enough about what you enjoy, to choose things you both will enjoy doing together, as a surprise, once in a while)
WE DID IT!!
We are now the proud owners of the property on which we live. We closed this in Late Feb./ early March. Thanks Mom & Dad for all your help!!
Memorial Day Weekend was Great for us, as Memorial Day Weekends go in Myrtle Beach. The traffic Was heavy & hectic. The people were the same as they always were. We DID NOT get away, as we'd have liked to, but you know we made the most of it!! We invited all those in our lil' community {Wilsonville} to a Memorial Weekend Feast, where Troy Manned the Grill, Kandi & Lori were in the kitchen for Hours, preparing all the extras that went with it. We all had a feast, then socialized, then we went out into the field, where we threw a Frisbee & a small ball around. I hope that Mr. Humphrey, one of our tenants {The photographer} Will share these photos With us so that we can share them with you.
So, Drink Till You Puke!...THEN take a Taxi.
