About Us
Richard and Jonda have been ministering together for seventeen years and serving the local church. Their heart is to see God's people worshipping Him. Their goal is to bring the body of Christ into an intimate relationship with God where we 'See His Face', II Corinthians 3:18!
Richard and Jonda were married on January 10, 1987. They had experienced 11 and a half years of marriage but had longed for a child. In the spring of '98 after many years of trying to conceive, they found out they were expecting. On December 30th 1998, Alexis Clare Hamilton was born. "God had spoken into our lives that He would provide a child to carry on our ministry. We believe Alexis is that fulfillment."
Jonda is used by God to support the arms of this ministry of worship like Aaron and Hur supported Moses' arms, Exodus 17:12. As a singer, Jonda has a clear, brilliant voice that points many to Christ. Jonda displays professional discipline and an entertainer's quality, yet her heart is for others to see the Lord and not her. She is the backbone of this ministry doing many little things that are unseen yet vital to the success of See His Face Ministry.
Richard attended Natalbany Baptist Christian School for high school and graduated in May of 1982. In high school, Richard realized his need for a Savior. Under the leadership of his pastor, Dr. Rodney Taylor, Richard asked Jesus into his heart as Savior and Lord. Also during his high school years, Richard helped form the Ambassadors Quartet which traveled and sang for four years around the southeastern portion of the United States. After high school, he enrolled in Southeastern Louisiana University, graduating in December of 1986 with a degree in Plant Science. He then went on and became certified to teach Math and Biology in December of 1994. In the late 80's Richard felt the call of God upon his life. Influenced by the ministry of Wayne Gregory, who mentored Richard to be his replacement, Richard surrendered to the call to ministry. He then began his training for the ministry. From 1990 to 1992, Richard and Jonda attended the International Worship Leader's Institute in Dallas, Texas under the direction of Lamar Boschman graduating in July of 1992. Richard also attended the Emmaus Road Ministry School under the direction of T.D. Hall graduating in May of 1996. Richard was ordained into the Gospel ministry on August 3, 1997 by Natalbany Baptist Church. Richard served from January 1990 until May 1997 as Worship Leader of Natalbany Baptist Church of Natalbany, Louisiana. He then was pastor of the River of God Baptist Mission in Robert, Louisiana from June 1997 to May 1998. He is also served as Co-Pastor and Worship Leader of Celebration Fellowship Church in Ponchatoula, Louisiana from June 1998 to February 2004. In February 2004, Richard has returned back to Natalbany Baptist Church to serve as Worship Leader and Associate Pastor.
Richard has heard the call of God upon his life to minister to the body of Christ. Through teaching and leading worship, Richard is fulfilling his purpose in the kingdom of preparing the bride for the coming of Christ. We believe II Corinthians 3:18, that seeing His face can change us from glory to glory into the image of Christ, our Bridegroom.
We believe that worship is a daily link between God and His children. Worship is us seeking God to see how we can please Him today, Romans 12:1. Thus worship is more than music, it's going after God with our whole heart. To worship, it's important that we get past the music, get past the message and the messenger, get past the form or order of worship, and get to God, Hebrews 4:16. Seeking God brings us into the fellowship which we were created for by the Father, John 4:23&24. In His presence, we experience a release of joy and freedom that brings healing and peace into our lives, Psalms 16:11. We believe that every believer should be seeking to `See His Face', Hebrews 11:6!
Our goal is to help the body of Christ through the ministry of praise and worship to 'See His Face', Psalm 22:3!
God Bless You!
