After completing his training he moved to California , here he taught karate for about a year. He then went out to Adelaide which was where he founded Go - Kan - Ryu karate.</B></div> <div> The meaning of Go - Kan - Ryu Karate.</div> <div> Go = hard</div> <div> Kan = Total or complete</div> <div> Ryu = School or system</div> <div> Kara = Empty</div> <div> Te = Hand</div> <div> Do = The way of</div> <div> Karate is an art of self defence from the Ryuku Islands ( Okinawa). Many years ago, until the turn of the century, karate was taught in secret and handed down from generation to generation , master to disciple , as a way of the Okinawan people to defend themselves against the Samurai Warriors of Japan.</div> <div> Early this century karate spread to all of Japan and now to the whole world.
