These background tiles
may be saved individually, or they may be downloaded in the zip file.
If you download the zip
file, the *.smp file is included so that you can easily import all of the
files into your fill gallery at once. A read me file is also included
in the zip file. Please read it before attempting to import these
files. If you wish to use these tiles as backgrounds for your web
pages, please link back to this site.
Note: I have created
each of these tiles as a 100 X 100 square. If you intend to use them
where the joint will be evident, such as in a stationery strip, resize
the piece to a multiple of 100 such as 200 , 300, or 400 etc. before filling
it with the tile. This will ensure a seamless strip. To fill your
strip with a tile, just open your easy palette, and find the tile you wish
to use, and then double click the tile. This will fill your strip.
1. Make a new folder in
your Photo Impact folder called backgrounds.
2. Unzip the contents of the
zip file into this new folder.
3. In your easy palette, right
click one of the names in the gallery, such as fill gallery, and click
again on create.
4. This will open a new box
with a space allowing you to name the new gallery. Name it backgrounds
or any other appropriate name.
5. This will create a new
gallery. To add these thumbnails to it, right click on the name of
the new gallery, and click again on import.
6. Browse to your new backgrounds
folder inside your PI folder, and you will see the *.smp file. Click
on it and ok.
7. Your new gallery
is ready to use.
