| Add a new layer. Using the selection tool set to rectangle, make a small rectangle just below the door. Flood fill with white. Go to Image, Effects, Buttonize and apply the settings shown. |

Add a new layer. Use the selection tool set to rectangle and draw a small rectangle starting at the top corner of the first step and bring it down to meet the bottom corner of the bottom step. Flood fill with white and move the layer below all of the steps. Hide all the layers except for the steps and the small rectangle and merge visible. |

This is what you should have now.

| Add a new layer. Select your text tool. I set my font to Broadway, bold, size 14 and used all capital letters. Put the lettering on both sides of the door. |

| Hide your background layer and merge visible the remaining layers. Now you can add a sky, clouds, trees, flowers, bushes or whatever you would like. Maybe even a few skyscrapers. |
