Fast and furious, the players simply destroy each other, each respawning after death to come back for more...after a set time, the player with the highest kill count wins.
Same as above, but the players are divided into teams.
A deathmatch game, but the players have a set number of lives..those who have expended their lives must watch until all but one player is "left standing".
A team game where certian "control points" are established (usually 3) and the two teams vie over who can maintain control over these points by touching them and then not allowing the other team to touch them...after a set time the team who has maintained control the longest accumulative amount of time wins.
One of my personal favorites, this is a team game where both teams attempt to infiltrate and capture the enemies flag, bringing it back to their own base to score...after a preset number of captures, the leading team wins.
Another of my personal favorites, Assault requires one team to defend and one attack...a number of goals (such as destroying a generator, or taking control of a fort) are established, and the attacking team is then timed to see how long it takes them to achieve these goals, if they can at all...afterwards, the defenders become the attackers and vise versa, and the attacking team attempts to take the bases in a shorter amount of time than the first team did...if neither team is able to take the base, it's a draw.
Unreal Tournament also includes an editor which is, in fact, a very powerful 3d CAD program. It is used by fans of the game (such as myself) to create 3d worlds which anyone may download from such sites as Nali City or Unreality to name a few (see left frame for links) This insures that there will always be a large supply of diverse game-boards for players to choose from, and also gives us really neat and imaginative places in which to squabble amongst ourselves.
