"Wow," Kate exclaimed. She was shocked that this was so coincidental. It was almost scary. She knew Beth couldn't have changed the way anything happened, but she knew why Nick could put a small blame on Beth. She had blamed Nick for making Julie leave and take that plane... The plane crash had changed the way Kate had viewed the world. She couldn't handle the pain so she had pushed her problems away from her. "Nick, that's terrible...but Beth...she couldn't have..."
Nick nodded. "I know she couldn't have changed anything. It's just I feel like in some way she could've..." Nick thought about why he was went out alone, especially without a bodyguard. He didn't want anyone to talk to. He blamed that part on Julie...but Julie wasn't alive...she couldn't have been there for him... He needed someone who'd understand him...Beth would but it would be too hard to talk about Julie with her - they'd grown close, really fast. With Kate it was different she just listened to him...
"Nick, I know what you mean, I seriously do..." Kate knew how Nick felt, she understood him so well. She knew exactly where he was coming from.
Nick nodded and sighed. "It's not easy dealing with this...I want to think that she couldn't have done anything...from preventing all this...but she couldn't...but I can't stop thinking that she could...."
"Nick, don't think like that...it only makes things worse." She tried to comfort him. She wished she could help him now. She had seen how Beth had tried and didn't know what to think, but she wanted him to see that he has to learn to forgive people. He has to learn to take things as they are.
"Thanks Kate." Nick mumbled. "I'll try not to think about it like that."
"Okay, I should probably be going. You need your rest." Nick nodded as Kate got up to leave.
"Kate?"
"Yea"
"Thanks again, I don't think I could have told anyone else."
"No problem Nick, just remember the guys, Beth and I are here for ya." With that note Kate left Nick to think and rest.
