We fight 1 vs 1
Clan honour dictates
that if a warrior approaches us and requests a 1 to 1 combat we must accept.
All other members of the Dark Angels will not take part in any way in the
combat. If the aggressor beats the Dark Angel and is honourable we will
grant him "Hegira" and allow him to repair. If he is dishonourable during
combat. i.e. shoots legs deliberatly, or shoots when down and wins, then
any member of the Angels may ask to continue the fight without repair.
When the Dark Angels have made the drop from the Drop ship into a new battle
each must declare if they intend to attack an enemy which they "drop" near
to. Unless a blood vendetta has been called by another Angel before the
drop that 1 v 1 request should be honoured.
The 1 v 1 rule is
broken and general mellee is opened if another enemy fires on the 1 v 1
pair in a dishonourable way. Note well. The person infringing on the 1
v 1 may be dishonourable but the enemy warrior in the 1 v 1 may well
be unaware that he is being aided. We must give the benefit of the doubt.
ALWAYS attack the mech that infringes on the 1 to 1 whenever possible,
never the mech that was taking part in the 1 to 1 if it can be avoided.
The 1 to 1 is also void if the the enemy in the 1 to 1 battle fires on
any other mech other than the one he was originally fighting in the 1 to
1. In other words if a mech fires on two or more DA's in a haphazard way
then a general mellee is allowed. |
| 2.
Do not shoot on mechs on ground. Let them rise. If they shoot you when
down hold your temper. Taunt them with messages such as "That is
the difference between us. I have no thought to shoot mechs when they are
fallen. I prefer to win by battling them when they can fairly fight back."
Ok so that may take several message screens but is better than typing "f***cking
cheat". In the same way do not shoot legs deliberatly. |
| 3.
Do not shoot on mechs in mfb's. This is our own personal interpretation
of the "Hegira" honour. In a normal battle mechs will be shot up and use
ammo. If the mech you fight runs out of ammo then kill them. The mech is
that warriors design and its faults and advantages are the enemies personal
choices. Ammo is one of their decisions. However if a battle between other
mechs has finished and the mech has retired to the mrb to reload and repair
do not consider him a fair target unless you consider it a matter of honour
that that mech is killed. In other words, do not kill mechs that are defenseless
in the mrb unless you personally have call to do so. |
| 4.
Do not critiscise or gloat over kills openly. We can all pat our backs
in the mess afterwards but never make fun of a fallen enemie. Always
congratulate their skill where shown. Offer advice to disgruntled warriors
if they feel that there is a question over tactics or honesty. Remember
that most warriors do not come into our battle area with the history of
the clans and inner sphere as armour and weapons. They come because a button
on their computer led them here. We must be gentle and introduce them.
Only then can we really call ourselves with honour. We would rather fight
warriors than video games experts. Quiaff? |
| 5. Do
not unecessarily complain. Better to drop from a game where dishonour and
cheating by bad tactics are the only way the enemy can win. Remember in
many cases the enemy warriors are handicapped by their age and maturity.
Insults and whining will not improve their tactics. Ignoring them and causing
them lack of support and battles will eventually make them see sense. |
| 6.
It is not important to win every game. The pleasure from being a warrior
and a member of the Dark Angels should better any desire to get the most
kills or the least deaths. Place youself in the front line so that your
fellow Angels may survive long enough to honour the Dark Angels name. Take
any fire directed at wounded comrades. Always leave a mellee to accompany
a damaged Angel back to the MRB. Always kill a fellow Angel swiftly when
asked rather than let an enemy feel pleasure in doing so. |
