This not-for-profit group consists of fans who adopt the Klingon persona and warrior philosophy; proudly wearing the uniforms of Classic, Movie, and/or Next Generation Klingons; learning the language, traditions and lore of the Klingon people; as well as participating in several fun and meaningful activities in their communities.

The I.K.E. is organized according to the Klingon military priciples as shown on Star Trek. Members may advance in rank, earn medals and awards, and command the loyalty of their junior officers. Our battles consist of costume contests, Klingon chess a.k.a. Klin Zha, sports and Bat'letlh touraments, membership drives, community projects and fund-raisers, and even paint-gun duels. And, of course, a great deal of the fun is that most of these events are done in full Klingon battle gear!

So why did we adopt the - antagonistic - persona of the Klingon? First, most of us like to be different - and what is more different than a Klingon? Secondly, we are really not aggressive. Our warriors are dedicated to loyalty, integrity, honor, duty, truthfullness, and straightforwardness with rugged individualism. We show that challenge is welcome - it brings out the best in us all! Everyone knows that Klingons love a good challenge!
