I never would have picked up these comics on my own because of the art, and that is why I missed out on these all those years back. The first comic came out in 1993. The art is very boxy and square and in my opinion could have been a lot better. But what the comic lacks art wise it more than makes up for with plot. And what a plot it is. The story telling is top notch and Mignola has really dones his research on demonogloy.

I love this picture because you get to see Kroenen in profile. It's nice to see him in his long coat, though I wish they had shown his SS uniform more like they did in the movie.

When I first saw the trailer for Hellboy I thought that Kroenen was a robot. I only got to see him for about three seconds and those three seconds were all I had to go on since I didn't even know about the comics. I like this scene because he looks very robotic, and of all the other villians he was the most human emotion wise. Here he show concern for Ilsa, a sentiment that is surely not mutual.

This is the start of a halarious situation that took place in Wake the Devil over three parts. Remember I'm into the film and the comic for Kroenen and no one else. To me this was the story that Wake the Devil was about.

Kroenen is so polite, caring and sweet in the comic!!
