About Us
Ghostbusters, Virginia and Ghostbusters International
Even before thier initial success at the Sedgewick Hotel in New York, Dr. Peter Venkman knew the Ghostbusters were on to something big. He wanted to make sure that the original Ghostbusters relized the potential of the totally new field they were opening to public awereness, and naturally, he thought of franchising. It was a marketing concept that couldn't wait.
At first only a few Ghostbusters franchises survived after the fall of the main branch shortly after thier battle with Gozer. The few franchises were not under the influence of the restraining orders that legally bound the main franchise. Generally though, the Ghostbusters went like a fad, and the remaining franchises struggled to keep from going under.
However, in 1989 the franchise would recieve its deserving wake up call. After a court battle the central franchise regained its ability to promote the ghostbusting name, and with it the revival of Ghostbusting as a profession. Ghostbusters International would be formulated.
Ghostbusters, Virginia is the 12th major franchise to develope after the 1989 revival and has been keeping the streets of Eastern Virginia clean. Though the franchise has jurisdiction over the entire state untill another franchise in Virginia is established, the GBVA mainly cover the more active Tidewater region of Virginia. The team consists of three active members, and one lay member who help on the larger cases. And thier transportation consists of normal cars untill funding for thier Ecto-1 replivehicle is prime.
The Crew
Dan Harshman (CEO) - As the founder of Ghostbusters, Virginia, Dan originally operated a rare one man team. Finding that supporting the franchise on his own back was becomming too difficult. While his one man Ghostbusting team was effective, the franchise had no room for development. Cases were not even recorded untill other member were assigned. Though now with his three man team, Dan leads Ghostbusters, Virginia through some of thier toughest cases as a Jack of All Trades.
Corey Howard (ACEO & TD) - The second member to be added to the team, Howard has an acute nack for technology. As such he was put in charge of developing Wierd Sciense technologies as the franchises Technical Director. One of the largest projects Howard has headed was the new equipment roof rack for the Ecto Project - designing the Ghostbusters, Virginia Ecto-1 replivehicle.
Eric Jones (ATD & MM) - Eric comes from a background of car parts and mechanical know how. This makes him ideal for brute force and maintaining the equipment as Corey's assistant technical director. Eric is also the Master Machanic, as Eric is in charge of car work in the franchise. While he is not limited to just cars, he can fix almost any thing, making him a priceless asset to the franchise.
Jordon Siron (Backup) - Siron comes to us from a small town in the middle of no place as a film expert. Though handy with a proton pack, Jordon mainly stick behind his camera lense. Though Jordon cannot be a full time crew member as he persues his career in producing films, but has been used on a few occasions on particularly difficult cases.
Sean Ward (Retired) - Ward was one of the best assets to the franchise as the spiritual researcher. He had an ideal expertise in the area of the unknown. Helping with paranormal research, and the ability to use other than proton pack blasting means of ridding ghosts. Sean Ward also had a hand in developing equipment being tested by GBVA. Sadly he had to retire when he moved out of state to Chicago.
