The unstable streams emitted by this weapon scorch walls, knock holes through wood paneling, destroy chandeliers and upholstery-and some times subdue ghosts.</div> <bR> <div> Proton Packs have two basic setting. The "ATTACK" setting is the less used one, this setting is used to destroy more complex ghosts and monsters, crossing the streams on "ATTACK" will cause mass amounts of damage and law suits. The more used "CONTAINMENT" setting is used to catch ghosts in cage like hold with the proton stream. When a ghost is in the proton cage the Ghostbusters move the ghost over the Ghost Trap, and activate the trap, holding a ghost in a small box (see GHOST TRAP). </div> <bR> <div> Invisible or immaterial spooks or spirits can only be affected by the Proton Pack if they can be targeted and hit. The only was to hit a spook or spirit like this is to make it become a "solid" form, like a glow or an aura. Sometimes a technological aid can be used to see or make the target appear. </div> <bR> <div> NOTE: The Mark II Proton Pack is low malfunction due to it's larger more affective heat sinks on the pack. It's power is equal, and the device is much simpler to use.</div> <bR> <div> <B>GHOST TRAP: </B>A small box witch stores and transports ghosts. The doors are opened by foot pedal attached to the box by a cord. As it opens, the trap produces a luminous white cone of psycho kinetic force, which force channels the target ghost into the trap. When the foot pedal is released the doors close (note: Some versions of the trap you press the foot-pedal twice to close the trap). Because of the force the white light the trap produces a Ghostbuster must close his eyes or turn away, or be blinded. It also take a second or two for the trap to neutralize the ghost's own ectoplasmic energies, so a specter could zoom away before it is sucked into the trap-unless a containment stream holds it there. </div> <bR> <div> NOTE: The Mark II Ghost Trap is only available to GBVA members. It hold four ghosts at a time and is lighter for more travel.</div> <bR> <div> <B>PKE METER: </B>Psycho kinetic energy meters are "Ghost-finders", measuring local PKE valences to discover paranormal activity. When a ghost is in the area lights flash and the meter's little arms rise up high. The closer and more powerful a ghost is the higher the arms go and how much the lights flash. The PKE meter also gives an exact number of ecto presence in the area. An average number on the PKE meter should be around 430.0.</div> <bR> <div> <B>GIGA METER: </B>This meter measures psychomagnetheric GeVs-giga electron volts. Works well at detecting mood slime.</div> <bR> <div> <B>PROTECTION GRID: </B>A protection grid or containment grid is large and immobile. It stores large amounts of ghosts. If the grid gets to full, it may threaten to break or blow up, but if properly built the grid will not do this, unless shut down. Some GBI headquarters have two containment grids to store ghosts. To get a ghost into the grid, load the full trap in, set your entry grid, neutralize the field, pull the handy lever, light is green and the trap is clean. The ghost is then stored into cells, and laser fields hold in ghosts.</div> <bR> <div> <B>SLIME-BLOWER: </B>This is a backpack used for broadly distributing slime, across an area. Mood-Slime is mostly used in the pack with the intent of immobilizing crowds or possessed buildings, or to get large thing to move. </div> <bR> <div> <B>TRIPOD TRAP: </B>This is a special device used in trapping unseen spooks or specters. Four 4-foot tripods with special entrapment lasers are hooked up to the trap by a system of cables and tubes. When a control box is armed and activated, the lasers sweep an area of which the ghost is located, trapping it into the ghost trap like normal.</div> <bR> <div> <B>SAMPLE COLLECTOR-</B> A simple device. A small machine that can be handled with one arm. A motor is activated on the main section with extents and "arm" out to a maximum of 3 feet. Once at full length a sphere at the end of the arm opens up. The sphere is then put into the area your gathering a sample from. It can pick up anything from dirt, to ectoplasm. The sphere then closes back up and the arm is manually cranked back into the locked position. Some models of this device have mini lamps at the base of the arm to provide extra light in darker places.</div> <bR> <div> <B>PSYCHIC-ANALYZER- </B>Also known as the Black Box. This device hangs from the belt of a Ghostbuster when he or she is sent on a call. There are several models of this device. The original version collects it data from a sensory computer chip, the dat is transmitted to the main box, where it is kept. The other version works the same way except the sensory chip is located within the main box. After returning from a call, an uplink can be hooked onto it, and ran to a computer. The information collected determines how much PKE affected the Ghostbuster, what the climate was in the area, and it's fluctuations. Also pick up small anomalies around the Ghostbuster. </div> <bR> <div> <B>PKE BADGE-</B> The latest development in Ghostbuster detection Equipment not made by a franchise. PKE Badges are small plastic badges with a clip to adhere and ruin your shirts, and have a small pink strip of paper on the plastic part. When exposed to a greater-than-normal PKE activity, the pink strip turns blue. That's it.</div> <bR> <div> <B>PSI-BOOSTER- </B>This is a large table top apparatus with wires leading to a stupid-looking silver helmet. It's used to determine if someone rally has psionic potential or is just jerking the Ghostbusters around. When turned on this device magnifies any present psionic ability to the power of five. When the device is turned of there power becomes normal once more.</div> <bR> <div> <B>SPECTROMETER- </B>This device is the size of your average oversized Xerox machine. It's simple really, after taking photos sometimes the phantom will not appear on film, but is still there. This device lifts the spirit from the cover inside the photo revealing it's form. The way it work? We're not really sure. It very useful though when taking pictures of possessed paintings.</div> <bR> <div> <B>ATMOSPHERIC IONIZATION ANALYZER:</B> Nick named the "Sniffer" from the fact that you use a small hand held pump to get your air sample, this device samples ionized traces left by PKE activity, and can be used to date the paranormal occurrences. How dose it work? Well it takes the left ecto traces storing it on a tape like material witch measures how long it has been there and can be looked at later when the tape is removed from the Sniffer.</div> <bR> <div> <B>AURA VIDEO-ANALYZER:</B> This handy lab gadget's purpose is twofold: Not only dose it tell the emotional state of the subject wearing the goofy looking helmet but also reveals the subjects self-image or essence of archetype. If the subject is possessed, it will show the outline of the entity in possession of the subject.</div> <bR> <div> <B>ECTO VISOR: </B>Also known as the Ecto Goggles, or Ghost Goggles, these Ecto Visors allow a Ghostbuster to see ectoplasmic manifestations that are not yet materialized on the super-etheric plane. The can also detect when a ghost is in a room, and see ghosts on the others sides of walls.</div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
