List of Headstones Needed
There are over 5400 unidentified graves (stones without                     inscriptions) in McCreary County!!!

These are lists of stones that possibly need replacing based upon Robert E. Stephens 3 Volumes of "McCreary County Kentucky Cemeteries". The headstones are listed by the Cemetery Name. Listing graves with  'sandstone', 'fieldstone', 'broken stone', 'funeral home marker only', 'faint' to read, or pictures that Robert has in his books that show the stones need replacing.

I have not visited all of these cemeteries to see if any of these stones have been replaced. So, if there is someone on this list that already has a new stone, please contact me so I can make a note by that person's name.

A quick reminder....please consider talking to your parents, grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, .....anyone that might know of a grave that has an unmarked stone.  If they decide to purchase a stone, please take them to the cemetery, mark the stone with duct tape and permanent magic marker (or some other way to identify the grave), then write me to tell me your good news!! I would like to see more of these IDENTIFIED!!
Thank YOU!!! I appreciate any help!!
