Sláine - Champion of the Goddess Sláine is an epic story about a young Celt's struggle for the faith of mankind and eventually his rise to be King of Kings. The story takes place in ancient Ireland and England when great causeways still connected these island to the rest of Europe. The story doesn't revolve around carnage and destruction alone, this is actually a piece of our cultural heritage. It is an adaptation of the Celtic myth of the earth goddess and the cyclicity of life which is essential to Celtic belief. Sláine is written by Pat Mills and illustrated by Simon Bisley, one of Bisley's first works as an comic artist, they also worked together on ABC Warriors. Bisley has done an incredible work in this comics and together with Mills they seem to have become the perfect team. |
