"I served on the board of directors for the Grand Traverse Astronomical Society for 2 years. As vice-president I was in charge of the monthly programs for the public. The observatory has a 14" Celestron with a Schmidt camera"
What I asked: "Hello, I was wondering two questions.
1) When do you think humans will start living on Mars?
2) What happened to the Mars Polar lander?
Thanks, I wish to post this up on my web site too.
e-mail is 04jasonw@students.harker.org"
His response: "I believe humans will start living on Mars in the latter part of this century. I have read about experiments involving melting the polar ice caps which might release enough oxygen to create an atmosphere that could sustain life.
As far as the Mars polar lander question, if I knew, I am sure Nasa, and JPL would want to have a chat with me!"
