First Federation starship to bear the name Enterprise, the original starship Enterprise
was a Constitution-class vessel. It's registry number was NCC-1701 and it was
launched in 2245 form San Francisco Yard and was first commanded by Captain Robert
April which was later replaced by Captain Christopher Pike which in is turn was
replaced by Captain James T. Kirk. It was made up of 23 decks and it
measured 289 meters long. In 2270 the Enterprise underwent a major refit in which
every major system were upgraded (bridge, warp drive nacelles). The Enterprise
was destroyed in 2285 by James T. Kirk to prevent the Klingon from getting their
hands on it.
