The
second Federation starship to bear the name Enterprise. The Enterprise-A was also
a Constitution-class starship. This Enterprise was also launched from the San
Francisco Yards in 2286. It measured 305 meters in length and it had also 23 decks.
It was placed under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. The Enterprise-A was decommissioned after
the Khitomer peace conference.
