The
third ship to be named Enterprise was under the command of Captain John Harriman.
It was launched in 2294, James T. Kirk was on the inaugural flight of the new
Excelsior class starship. It suffered some damage from an energy ribbon called
the Nexus and it was saved by James T. Kirk. Kirk was believed to have died in
the incident.
