Famous Cover scale Baby Doll

My Famous Cover scale Baby Doll,
from Batman the Animated Series. BTW her dress was a royal pain, and is
made of hot pink lycra, so she fits in well with the brightly colored
FC figures.

Baby Doll has ALWAYS had a fondness
for big green lugs. Hulk, however, doesn't look too happy about that!

Hulk might be rethinking her though.. I haven't sewn her panties yet! LOL!! Baby Doll was started from a Kelly barbie doll. Her head was perfect scale, as well as her body. The only real problem initially though was the typical lack of articulation. Dremel table saw took care of that though. I added waist, and swivel knees and elbows to her articulation, getting her "up to snuff" for my FC figures. After 3 tries, I finally got her dress right. the biggest problem there was size. She's tiny, and it was hard to sew her dress. The buttons are small beads, and her front dress seam is a red thread, glued appropriately. The trick to getting the joints to work was found in a gi-joe group (actually a tip I got for adding something to a 12" alien figure) You drill the holes, and then chop the top off a brass screw. Screw one end in , and then screw the other body part on! It'll stay, and you can swivel it fine. My other baby Doll figure (the BTAS scale one) took a dive about 2 months ago, otherwise I'd put them next to each other for scale. I'll fix her one of these days..... And make a Killer Crok to go with poor lonely baby doll as well... |
