NASHVILLE IS WHAT SHORT TRACK RACING IS ALL ABOUT. IT IS FAST AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD SETUP AND GREAT CAR CONTROL. IF YOU GET TOO AGGRESSIVE, YOU WILL HAVE THE CAR PUSHING OUT OF THE GROOVE THE WHOLE RACE. THE PHRASE "SLOW DOWN TO GO FASTER" CERTAINLY APPLIES HERE.
A GOOD LAP AT NASHVILLE STARTS OUT AT THE WALL ON THE FRONT STRETCH. GET ON THE BRAKES HARD, DOWNSHIFT TO THIRD GEAR AND GET THE CAR TURNING THROUGH THE CORNER. I LIKE TO GET ON THE GAS AND SHIFT BACK TO FOURTH GEAR A LITTLE EARLIER COMING OUT OF THE CORNERS. YOUR LAP TIMES WILL SHOW YOU THAT IT IS FASTER THAT WAY. DON'T STAY IN THIRD GEAR TOO LONG.
AS THE CAR COMES OUT OF TURN TWO, IT WILL COME RIGHT OUT NEAR THE WALL. GET BACK ON THE BRAKES HARD FOR TURN THREE AND DOWNSHIFT AGAIN TO THIRD. TURN THE CAR DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CORNER AND THEN GET BACK ON THE GAS AND SHIFT BACK TO FOURTH.
I FIND THAT IF I ENTER THE CORNERS TOO LOW, I REALLY GET THE CAR OUT OF SHAPE. I LIKE TO ENTER THE CORNER ABOUT A HALF TO THREE-QUARTERS OF A GROOVE HIGHER THAN THE BOTTOM. I THINK YOU WILL LIKE THAT GROOVE AS WELL.
AS ALWAYS, THE REAL KEY TO SHORT TRACKS IS TO GET AS MUCH SEAT TIME AS YOU CAN. NOTHING WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN TO GET AS MANY LAPS AS YOU CAN UNDER YOUR BELT. YOU WILL SEE YOUR LAP TIMES DROP IF YOU PRACTICE. HAVE FUN!

SETUP THAT SHOULD KEEP YOU OFF THE WALLS AND UP FRONT.
BEST SPEED SHOULD BE IN THE MID 111s TO MID 112s. DOWNSHIFT IN THE CORNERS AND
KEEP THE CAR ABOUT A HALF GROOVE OR SO HIGHER IN THE CORNERS.
