Wendy Richards (w.m.richards@keele.ac.uk), 24 November:
A bit disappointing compared to other episodes in this series. This isn't to say it's badly written or anything like that; I simply found the plot a little more trivial than some of the others you've provided on this site - dodgy cosmetics and a link to burglaries reminds me a little of 'Pheromone' which, while amusing, was not one of the better first-season episodes.I suppose in addition I'd have to say I'm not one of those fans who always wanted Cat brought back; I was quite happy when she was written out at the end of the first season.

I liked this episode and am glad you brought Cat back. She added such "cattiness" in the first season. Although, she mellowed out in this episode, I can see where you could bring back her old ways after she breaks up with her ex-husband and could add some spice around the news room. Also, you stayed away from the science fiction and stuck to realism. Somehow, I just never thought of "Superman" as being science fiction. I guess that idea came from the old original "Superman" series. Other than "Superman" himself, everything was pretty much realistic.
