I think this episode was great! I also wanted to compliment everyone on the season as a whole. I also semi-follow Travis Covert's and TUFS, but Season 5 is the best by far! I like how the baby from the future situation was solved and each episode has seemed like it could actually be a real Lois and Clark episode.About this week's episode- In Vitro Veritas, besides having a most clever title, was well-written and had a great balance of A and B plot scenes. I'm always looking forward to new episodes being posted on Sundays.
There was also one other thing I wanted to add. Since a baby for Lois and Clark seems to be fairly inevitable, I wanted to offer a suggestion for the name. Well, actually a non-suggestion. I know that in the future you do have characters named Clark Kent, but I don't think that Lois and Clark would name their child Clark Kent, Jr. First of all, this child will have enough to live up to, having its father be Superman and possibly having powers also. Second, and probably most importantly, Lois was so adament in keeping her name (her identity) when she married Clark. It would seem *extremely* out of character for her (I think) to give their child Clark's name. I think giving the child its own, separate, unique identity is the best idea, and that Lois would feel the same way. Just my 2 cents, though.

I enjoyed In Vitro Veritas, although I didn't find it quite as compelling or gripping as Faster Than A Speeding Bullet. I like the way the A-plot was connected to the B-plot, almost by accident. It didn't feel forced or contrived to me. I'm glad there's been an advancement on the "can they have children" front, even if it's still rather mysterious. I thought more could have been made about the whole "perfect children" theme, it was kind of downplayed. I'm glad the doctor wasn't an evil scientist out to rule the world, but he was a bit low-key.There were some lovely character bits:
>> "Too bad the Star doesn't have a staff opening," Lois muttered under her breath. Perry gave her a sharp look that she returned with an innocent smile before looking down to her notepad <<
I like that Ralph is still around, still a loud-mouthed bore with no social graces and dubious "contacts" and "sources". It's nice to see more happening in the newsroom, in the office setting, although this episode was a bit thin on Jimmy. I'm still hoping to see him used as a photographer on some assignments!
>> "If we don't get a scoop soon, we're gonna have to start printing Elvis sightings, and I'm sure we don't want to get into competition with the Whisper. So get on it!" <<
Nice Perry bits, good usage of Elvis. Nice continuity with the National Whisper. Speaking of continuity:
>> It was Dr. Hubert, the same one who had worked closely with Dr. Winninger <<
Tee hee! From the episode Witness! I hadn't remembered Dr. Hubert's name, but it was nice to know he's still in the same universe. :)
>> "Next thing you know, you'll be telling Dr. Daniels that you're a member of the Cheese Of The Month Club." <<
:) I love it when she throws that one in his face! That was my all-time favorite lame excuse! Good to see Lois teasing Clark about it, at ease with her earlier blindness.
>> Jeb, while no doubt a worthwhile fellow, was not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. <<
ROFL! What a great line! I'll have to remember this one, it's right up there with "A box short of a variety pack" and "a taco short of a combo"! :)

This one was very realistic and well written. They are just all so good that it is hard to pick a favorite. It is like actually watching it on TV. I don't know who the authors are, but I have decided that you all must be professional writers to do such a good job.Thank you so much for bringing some sunshine to a dark and gloomy day.
