Episode 3: Reconstruction

This episode is absolutely GRIPPING!!

It's great how you've followed on from Season 4 and I'm pleased to see that you're following the intracacies of the plot and sub-plots etc. as we saw in the tv series. The one thing that has always attracted me to the tv series was seeing the personal side of Lois and Clark and I'm thrilled that you've picked up from where the tv series left off.

Keep up the fabulous writing and I can't wait till next week's episode!!

I just want to say that I really enjoyed this episode. ...I read it the other night off the website, 'cuz I was afraid it wouldn't get posted, and when I read the teaser, I just couldn't wait! I'm not really even sure *why* I liked it so much, I just did. I think that maybe it was the suspense that did it for me. I know that if this was a real episode (no offense Leanne, you know what I mean! ), I would definitely be throwing things at the TV during those commercial-breaks!! :) I was sitting on the edge of my seat while reading this episode, maybe that is why I liked it so much. Well, whatever the reason, I just know that Leanne deserves a lot of credit for this ep, great job! I give it an A all the way!!! =D

This episode took a very different tone than the two before it, darker and more serious. Even so, there were sparks of romance and humor sprinkled throughout. While I found the concept of reconstructing the last day of the victim's life a little unrealistic, I nonetheless enjoyed the execution of the storyline. Leanne Shawler's writing and the skill of the editing and production staff combined for another beautifully-done episode.

Once again, the characters were all in character. It was great to see Bobby Bigmouth (sorely underused in the series) make another appearance, and I loved Lois yanking the drumstick away from him! Lois planning on writing about sexism in the police department was classic Lane. The line about Lois' real estate agent having made her sign a contract that required her to move from one floor to another had me laughing!

Clark had a beautiful line: "You will be the best mother for our children because you have that instinct for trouble and you'll keep them out of it." Trust Clark to see the advantages to dangling over the jaws of death like an hors d'oevres, to see and appreciate the best in Lois.

I am *loving* the continuity in these episodes! They are flowing seamlessly together in a way that the series did when it was at its best, but didn't always manage to achieve. Lois and Clark have their weekly adventures, but there's a progression to their marriage and they continue to grow and evolve, to develop new aspects of their relationship, to become aware of difficulties and problems, face them, and try to deal with them together. It's coming along beautifully, and I think that everyone involved in putting this season together should feel extremely proud of themselves!

Kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time...Great Job!

Ana Lanes (AnaLanes@aol.com), 11 November:

It is nice and funny to see Lois and Clark trying so hard to have a child. Specially Lois that I could never possibily imagine as a mother. I like that very much.
The reconstruction thing was a little bit slow.
I would give a 8.

I really loved this episode. It was so well written that I could envision it as though I was actually watching it on TV. Keep up the good work!! It really is a shame that these won't be filmed for all the L&C fans to enjoy.
