Common class of space station used by the Federation for a number of mission profiles, including defence.

Seeds or plays at any [Fed] location (except in an opposing or 'neutral' region).

Clarification:

An opposing region is a region that 'belongs' to someone else (The Bajoran Region and the Cardassian Region are the only ones so far) and a neutral region is one that is literally neutral (The Neutral Zone and The Demilitarized Zone). Of course if you have a treaty with the region's 'owner', you may play the Starbase there.

Federation space station. The U.S.S. Enterprise upgraded it's weapons here by, and was subsequently hijacked by, the Bynars in 2364.

Seeds or plays at any completed [Fed Icon] planet mission (Is still a space facility).

Brig

Whenever a personel battle is resolved on this station, it's controller may move three personel here from the attacking force for each SECURITY personel here (personel may 'run away' to an adjacent site if any single personel's STRENGTH is greater than your SECURITY). Those personel may not leave until bail is posted by transfering X (2X if personel mortally wounded another personel in the battle) points to the station controller, where X=[skill icons] in personel skill box. Capacity: 16 personel

Command Centre

Compatible OFFICER-classification personnel may report here. Any player may, in place of their normal card play, download to an unopposed site on this station one card which may play there (if reporting a ship or personnel, must be of matching affiliation); player draws no cards that turn. Any Computer Skill personnel unopposed here may commandeer station.

Forcefield

Personel may not pass or stop at this site unless your Computer Skill x3 present. May be destroyed (discarded) by phasers OR disruptors at an adjacent site if their total effect on personel is STRENGTH+6 or greater.

To get past you could use, for example, three Romulan Disruptors, twoStarfleet Type III Phaser Rifles, etc..

Mooring Gantry

Any ship may report, dock and undock here if ship is compatible with station's affiliation OR crew includes a V.I.P. OR player controlling ship has a Computer Skill personnel present at this site unopposed (just before undocking, that personnel may board ship). Ships with staffing requirements of [command][command][staff] may report for free here. Capacity: 9 ships.

Conference Lounge

Compatible V.I.P.-classification personel may report here. Once each turn any unopposed V.I.P. here may nullify one just played Captains Order (Captains Log, Lower Decks, Yellow Alert, Senior Staff Meeting orany card so marked). If Diplomacy present, personel battles may not take place here (unless specified by a Q related card). Matching V.I.P.personel may file mission reports here.

If unoccupied, compatible [staff] personel may report here. If singlepersonel present with CUNNING>7 at end of your turn, you may exchange acard in your hand for a card in your discard pile.
