Plot

Riker brings a highly addictive game back from vacation and everyone on board the Enterprise becomes hooked by it, except for Data who suffers from a mysterious malfunction. The game apparently stimulates the pleasure centers of the brain while also attacking the reasoning centers. Only Wesley, on leave from the Academy, and his new friend, Robin Lefler remain unaddicted and it is up to them to save the crew, but the crew don't want to be saved.. Ashley Judd, who plays Wesley's love interest in this episode, is the daughter of Naomi Judd and the sister of Winona Judd of country western music fame.

  • When the crew are forcing Wesley to play the game, and Riker is holding his eyes open, Wesley blinks.
