Ek ladka hai, Rahul (Shahrukh Khan), aur ek ladki hai Anjali (Kajol). Dono ladte the, jhagadte the, par phir bhi, woh ek dusre ke best friends the. Phir kya hua? Phir... Kuch Kuch Hogaya... Karan Johar's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is running successfully all over the country. The collections are fantastic even in the fourth week. The film also was not faced with competition in the last few weeks as no good films were released. After a long time, the black marketers are having their time with the craze of this film. The fourth week's collections of the film were 97% in Mumbai (from 11 cinemas). The collections of mega-hit Kuch Kuch Hota Hai showed that this movie is getting bigger and bigger hit. Whether Kuch Kuch Hota Hai will be as big hit as Hum Aapke Hai Koun...! or Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayege is too early to predict. We will have to watch and see for how many weeks this collection spree of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai continues.
'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' is Yash Raj Films latest distribution comprises of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Salman Khan, and Rani Mukherjee. Watch for more on 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' released all over the world on 16th October 1998. This movie is a romantic tragedy. The story begins with the funeral of Tina (Rani Mukherjee), who leaves her new-born daughter 8 letters, one each to be presented to her on every one of her first eight birthdays. They slowly unfold the story of the lives of three best college-buddies. The eighth letter, though, reveals to her that it was her duty to bring Rahul & Anjali together, who were the best of college buddies. Anjali eventually fell in love with Rahul, but Rahul fell for Tina, least realising Anjali's fate. Now Anjali's problem (although she still loves Rahul) is that she has been engaged to Aman (Salman Khan). The music of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai has been given by Jatin-Lalit. They are best know for their fabulous music in films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Pyar to Hona Hi Tha, Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai, and Pyar Kiya To Darna Kiya. Again, the songs go with the story. The music is just great and young. The performances of all the lead stars are A-grade. Shah Rukh has given a restrained performance. Rani Mukherjee also impresses in her short role. She has proved that given the role and chance she can act ably. But it is Kajol again who steals the show. She is just fabulous. She just gets involved into the character of Anjali whether she is tomboyish, or as a broken-hearted lover or as a mature woman. She is one of the finest actress Indian cinema has recently. And secondly it is Salman who in his special appearance has overshadowed Shah Rukh Khan. Salman is too good in emotional, light mooded and dance scenes. Jatin Lalit's music is also good especially the title song and Ladki Badi Anjani.... Though the film is long but all the minor flaws of the film are overshadowed by the wonderful overall impact very tenderly handled by Karan Johar... RECENTLY, IT HAS BEEN HEARD THAT Kuch Kuch Hota Hai TURNED OUT TO BE A MEGA HIT MOVIE ALL OVER INDIA. BLAME YOURSELF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS MOVIE AT A THEATER. Producer: Yash Johar - Director: Karan Johar Music: Jatin Lalit - Lyrics: Sameer
