Hello, my name is Hununu (ok, that's not my real name, but who cares) . I'm 18 and I'm a music fanatic. Music in all aspects. As a famous person in my country (Composer Vitorino de Almeida) says (I live in Portugal) : " I like all kinds of music, as long as it's good". I think it says it all.
I started playing with computers when I was maybe....6 or 7.. something like that. I loved to play around with my 128K Spectrum. I even did some 'lame' BASIC programming (I don't think I'm a talented programmer at all..) Some years laters I received my 'shiny' Super-Duper 386SX 16 Mhz! You had to see the look on my friend's faces to believe it ! :) I then could afford to play Larry Suit Larry One at full speed! Yeah! :) Those were the days I guess....
Some years later I bought a modem (a super-duper 14.4K Pocket Modem) and started BBSing.... I was even Conference Host of the SoundCards conference on Rime. I remember talking with Rich Heimlich quite often.
Some years later I started my own BBS. (Circuits BBS - this is a tip for my friends so they can know who I am <G>) I was for some months a Sysop :) Quite nice.
I then started to show my music talents (?). Having had some Organ lessons I now started to learn to play the guitar. (Yeah, what else could it be right ? <G>)
I think it's important to say that I had then started to like Jazz. Jazz is and will probably be in the future my favourite style (?) of music. I identify myself with Jazz, so that's what I hear mainly.
So, to rap it up (I don't want you guys asleep!.. Hey! WAKE UP!) I first bought a SoundBlaster Joystick-to-midi adapter and connected my AWESOME Yamaha PSR-36 (yes, that's right! :-) to my 386sx first, then later to my 486dx4. I had a MediaVision Pro Audio Spectrum 16 at that time... in fact, I still have it :)
Some years later I had to buy a decent midi system. So, the best thing that fitted my budject was a Roland SoundCanvas. I bought a Roland Sc-55ST and a keyboard controller, a Roland PC-200MkII. (great 'toy' for the price). To hear my compositions I bought myself a couple of lame monitors, Roland MA-8. (Yes, I said lame).
Recently I bought a Turtle Beach Pinnacle Soundcard and about a couple of weeks or so a mixer, a Mackie 1402VLZ. (I only bought it because my uncle went to the States :)
Not exciting, eh ?.... Oh well.
