you tried to remember all the warnings
but it felt too good to be bad
i saw you dive head first into the water
your head popped up to show you were still alive

without stopping you
you forgot all the warnings
and Poseidon took you in
i watched you throw your life away
i watched you swim until you drowned
listening to the sea i heard not your cries
but saw your hand in every wave
