Dominus belong to the pioneers of Danish Heavy Metal and they released their first CD 'View
To The Dim' already in 1994. Two more CDs followed in 1996 and 1997 before they made a three
year break. At the end of 2000, Dominus made their comeback with their meanwhile fourth CD called
'Godfallos'. What I don't or even can't understand is why Dominus like to be compared to
Metallica. They don't try at all to sound a bit original, but copy their idols in every possible
way (song writing, vocals, instrumentation). But Metallica started more than 15 years ago playing
that kind of music when it still was something exceptional and overwhelming. Meanwhile it has
become very difficult to put new elements into Metal music, but every band should at least try
to make it possible nevertheless. Worst of all, drummer Brian Andersen is a member of Metallica
Jam Band, a cover band from Copenhague. The only advantage that Dominus have compared to
Metallica is that their production is much better than that of the early Metallica albums. But
that doesn't make 'Godfallos' an essential album of Thrash Metal.
