Fjell are a German band that still
doesn't exactly know where to go. On their second EP which is called 'Toylab', the two first
songs 'Toilet' (funny title compared to the name of the EP) and 'Paralyzed' are classical,
but well played Noise Rock songs with a Punk attitude. I have more problems with the third song.
It's called 'Moment' and a quite minimalist 'song' where you only hear bass and a clock. 5 minutes
is definitely too long for such a 'song'. Then the last track is called 'When You're Not Here'
and shows Fjell from their best side which is the emotional one. The song is not very fast and
the spokenlike vocals fix well into the noisy structure. My final result is 3:1 in favour of
Fjell.
