20/04/04: Stephen met up with the rest of Boyzone again today to promote a charity golf classic in aid of the Irish Autism Alliance and the Marie Keating Foundation. They have said today that there are no plans at present for a reunion tour however they are not ruling out the possibility in the future or touring or recording together again. They apparently said there is a strong possibility that they will play together again. RTE news has already reported about what they had to say. Shane was joint winner of 'The Games' on Saturday and has since also said there may be some kinda of one off gig for charity or something. Watch out for more news/rumours about this in the press soon and maybe photos on Showbiz.ie tomorrow - Shane is likely to be popping up on tv and radio as well to talk about 'The Games' too. You can alsready see some photo's of Stephen and the Boyz here.
.
(When I have time the Galleries will be updated with all the picutes I've posted in the news recently)

17/04/04: All 5 members of Boyzone were at The Games on Thursday. They were there supporting Shane (although more like nearly putting him off I think at the shock of seeing them all together again) and gave a quick interview on E4 after the show. Stephen said he had flown back from New York to be there, Andy was also there with him. Shane said on the show the next day that they will be getting together again this week for a charity event Keith is involved with in Dublin.
There have been a few articles in the press today about the reunion, including in The Sun and The Mirror. There are also a few articles on the net, however they all pretty much say the same thing. Shane is still in the lead in the mens events and the final is tonight on C4.

15/04/04: Stephen is apparently going to be at The Games in Sheffield with Keith tonight to support Shane, it's also been said that Ronan is going to be there as well as possibly Mikey according to his official site - so it looks like there might be a Boyzone reunion at last if Mikey does turn up!. You can see Shane (who is currently winning in the mens games) competing in the Vault tonight at 9pm on C4, there is also coverage afterwards on E4.
Stephen is still on a break at the moment and so there isn't much news really hence the lack of updates, however this site is still active and will be updated as and when possible, and obviously whenever there is any news.

24/12/03: Check out #24 on the advent calendar on the official site to see a little Xmas message from Stephen, and also there's a little something I found for you in the video den in section other 3.

18/12/03: You can see some new photo's of Stephen on showbiz.ie. Keith and Stephen along with a couple of Westlife became Celebrity Waiters at a dinner in Citywest Hotel in aid of the Grace Nolan Foundation this week. Also thanks to everyone for voting this site the top Stephen site in its category again - there were also 3 Stephen sites in the top 500 of the Peoples Choice Award. Here's the pics: (they'll be added to the gallery soon instead of the news, along with a few other pics)

03/12/03: Not much Stephen news at the moment but he is still occasionally popping up in the media either on tv repeats, or getting mentions in interviews/articles. Joseph has been nominated in the 'Best Musical Revival' category. There are also a couple of other Joseph related nominations if you would like to vote for them at What's On Stage. In other news Ronan's album charted at number 9 last week and 21 this week and so there are now rumours he is considering a reunion Boyzone charity gig or something like that in some papers - hmm...

11/11/03: What's On Stage have now opened nominations for their Theatregoers' Choice Awards. There are a couple of categories which may apply to Stephen and Joseph if you would like to nominate them.

07/11/03: There have been a few more articles in the press recently (Interviews/Atricles section) about Stephen and Andy. Stephen was in New York recently to support the SPEAC team who were running in it for their Autism charity. Stephen and Andy attended David Furnish's birthday party again this year and there is a photo of them at rexfeatures. Also Stephen has apparently been mentioned/seen on tv a few times recently when the infamous Late Late Show Boyzone clip was played on Room 101 and also Richard and Judy. In other news, Stephen has now started talking about his much rumoured role in 'We Will Rock You' in articles and interviews, which should hopefully happen early next year. There is an online interview at BBC NI in which he talks about this amongst other things. Finally, as well as the Website Awards that you can vote for Stephen sites in at the moment, the Smash Hits awards can also be voted for online here, if you want to vote for Stephen in any of the categories.

23/10/03: Stephen and Andy have been in the papers a bit recently, I've added the interview they did with 'The Mirror' to the Interviews/Atricles section. They also got a mention in 'The Sun' yesterday spotted being all coupley while out for a meal. In other news it's time for the dotmusic people choice/ interactive music awards again (this site has done quite well in this in the past and been voted the favourite Stephen site for a few years running). If you would like to vote for it again then click here - there is also a link on the contents page to vote.

28/09/03: Obviously now Stephen is taking a short break after finishing in 'Joseph' things have been a bit quieter recently - however don't worry he's not being forgotten about and will hopefully be back soon. Also it doesn't mean there'll be a lack of updates on this site as I will now be adding things I never quite found time to before, to find out what all the latest updates are see 'what's new'. If you're now missing Stephen then join in and chat about him on the message board or the official message board, a few new fan galleries have been added to the official site too.

19/09/03: There is a photo of Stephen at the Richard James Launch in the new issue of 'Hello' and there was also one recently in the Evening Standard Magazine (see Gallery 14). Other magazines and papers have had Stephen in their 'spotted' sections, doing the astounding thing of walking around in London with Andy. *gasp* Ok so not very exciting but nice to see they think it's worth writing about - would be nice if they would learn to spell his name though (this week he has ranged from being Stephen Gately, to Steven Gateley amongst other mis-spellings). There is another message from Stephen on the Official Message Board and you can now see the video message from Stephen in both the 'Joseph Promotion' and 'Other Videos 3' sections of the video den on this site as so many of you were trying to watch it, it kept running out of bandwidth.

14/09/03: I hope everyone who was there for Stephen's last shows yesterday had a great time - Stephen was amazing as always and I think a special mention should go to his angel part becoming a chicken impression, to the rest of the cast for making him laugh and messing up his hair and to his very sweet and emotional thank you's and see you soon's on stage at the end. I'm sure you will be able to read more about what happened in detail on Stephen's Messageboard soon. Also on Wednesday Stephen recorded a message to say thanks to all of his fans for all the support throughout Joseph, I have now added this for all of you to watch, and especially so everyone who couldn't be there yesterday so you hopefully doesn't feel so left out, you can see this in the 'Joesph Promotion' Section of the Video Den - I hope you like it. Keep an eye out for more updates soon, and as always as soon as I hear there is any proper news as to what he will be doing next I'll let you all know.

12/09/03: Stephen has now received all of your messages that have been sent to him via this site. Tomorrow is Stephen's last day performing in Joseph...he should be doing the 2pm and 8pm shows tomorrow but possibly not the 5pm. I hope everyone who is going to see him has a great time and that Stephen also enjoys his last day in the show and has a lovely holiday afterwards.

07/09/03: Stephen was back on stage yesterday and performed in all three shows. Only one week to go now! If anyone want's to send Stephen a message before he leaves the show then you need to make sure you have sent them by Tuesday, after that I will be shutting the section again temporarily.

05/09/03: Stephen won't be able to perform in the show tonight - however he should now be doing all three shows tomorrow.

01/09/03: There's now less than two weeks left of Stephen performing in 'Joseph', so if you haven't been to see the show yet and you can, then get yourselves down there to see it - also you can still send him your messages via this site and if you are going to his last show then email me to be added to the fan seating plan.

27/08/03: Stephen and Andy are still making the news all over the world, you can see a photo of them from a Hong Kong newsapaper on the Official Message Board in the Media forum, there is also apparently a mention in 'New' and I'm sure there will be in the other gossip magazines too. Also there are still quite a few celebrities going to see Stephen in Joseph - Dawn French and Lenny Henry were there last night, and don't forget it's still Kids Week in the West End at the moment. For those who have booked places there is a question and answer session with the cast of Joseph today (see Events Calendar for more details).

23/08/03: Stephen will not be performing in the 5pm show today.

22/08/03: I have been away on holiday again so sorry for the lack of updates again but here is a news round-up. It's been a bit of a busy week for Stephen news. The press and media picked up on the fact that Stephen and Andy attended a private commitment ceremony while on holiday in Las Vegas, his manager released this statement: 'Stephen and Andy went to Las Vegas on holiday and decided to attend a commitment ceremony. They went to a chapel and the ceremony was carried out by a minister, although no rings were exchanged. Stephen and Andy have been together for a while now and they decided they were ready for more commitment. I don?t think they told anyone else about it, they just wanted an intimate ceremony with the two of them. I have spoken to Stephen today and he says he is very happy.' Stephen has also been on tv a couple of times. His appearance on 'Xchange' changed from Tuesday and was actually shown yesterday, and is repeated today at 8:30am for anyone who missed it. He was also on 'Terry and Gaby' on channel 5 yesterday and apparently did a great interview, both which hopefully I'll have on the site in the near future, he even promised to learn to drive(!).

14/08/03: Don't forget to watch Stephen on 'Xchange' on CBBC tomorrow at 4:30pm if you can get that channel (it's also repeated on Monday for those who miss it) - he was interviewed last Wednesday and they possibly filmed part of the show too. Think I forgot to add before, he's possibly on Pop Years 2 (1999) on Sky One on Tuesday (19th) at 8pm as well. Also, as always, you can still send yourMessages to Stephen via this site and as I said before keep watching for news about any plans for the end of his run in Joseph (obivously all of your messages will be given to him on or before his last day, so you can send in your thoughts, memories, well done's, thank you's or 'goodbye for now's, as and when, if you like - they can be as long or short as you want). Don't forget to check out the Official Message Board for something we are giving him too.

10/08/03: As expected Stephen didn't perform in any of the shows yesterday. He should hopefully be back and well again after his holiday and performing from Monday 18th August until his last day on the 13th September. I have now added a fan seating plan for his last day in the show to the site.

09/08/03: On Wednesday, I gave Stephen all of the messages you've sent through the site. It has now been confirmed Stephen's last day performing in the show will be the 13th September (the box office seemed to have it wrong and think it was the 27th, however Stephen and official information say its the 13th). Also Stephen was pre-recording something for 'Xchange' on Wednesday, which will be shown on 15th August on the CBBC channel at 4:30pm. Unfortunately he was ill on Thursday, so missed the show and he was unable to perform yesterday aswell. I doubt he will be back to do all three shows today and he is then off on holiday again for a week, so hopefully he'll be feeling better soon and will come back relaxed and refreshed for his final stint as Joseph. Finally there are apparently new souvenier brouchers going to be sold at the theatre now. [A bit of a news round-up there as I've been away again this week.]

05/08/03: Stephen will be doing all three shows this Saturday, he will then be on holiday again for a week. The interview he did for Theatregoer magazine is in the August issue and you can read it here until I have time to add it to the site. The magazine is free with Joseph programmes or can be ordered from their site. There is also another message from Stephen on the official message board. [I've been away hence the lack of updates recently - normal service will be resumed shortly, until then enjoy the heat wave get down to the beach if you can!]

29/07/03: A quick reminder that Stephen is supposed to be featured in and on the front cover of Theatregoer magazine soon, I expect it is going to be in the August edition so watch out for that appearing. Also if anyone wishes to send any Messages to Stephen via this site I will be giving him the next set of them soon. I will also be planning to give him something at the end of his run in Joseph so if you would like to be involved, keep watching for more news on that soon. A couple more questions have gone up on the official site too.

27/07/03: A couple more answers have been added to the official site, also Stephen will be back from his holiday and performing in Joseph again tomorrow.

23/07/03: Check out the official site to see a couple more fan questions that Stephen has answered, with more to come soon. Another fan gallery has also been added.

22/07/03: Just a little reminder Stephen is on holiday this week and so not performing in Joseph. Also as a result of the Bravent changes I have added a new Message Board, so feel free to use that or not as you like.

11/07/03: There is a small Stephen interview in 'The Mirror' today. Also Stephen will not be performing in the 5pm show tomorrow. [Please note some of the parts of this site for which Bravenet provides the services for have changed as they have changed the services they provide recently.]

03/07/03: It has now been officially confirmed so I can now add that the dates Stephen will be on holiday and not performing in Joseph are the weeks beginning on the 21st July and the 11th August.

02/07/03: Stephen sounds to have had a great time at the Ball on Thursday. There are a couple of photos of him and Andy on WireImage 1 2 and Rexfeatures and there is also one of them and one of Stephen and Elton John in the new issue of OK magazine. There were a few bits about Stephen in the press this weekend. There was an article in the Guardian, one about his meal at Zuma with the other members from Boyzone in 'Night and Day' from the 'Mail on Sunday' and 'The Sunday People' had an article about Stephen dancing with Fergie at the Ball. Finally Stephen did an interview for 'Theatregoer magazine' yesterday so watch out for that soon. Also he will be having 2 week holidays soon so keep an eye out for official confirmation of those. He is now apparently continuing with the show until September but as yet doesn't know when the last day will be. (I will update the interviews/articles page and gallery asap)

23/06/03: It has now been confirmed that Stephen will be attending Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball on Thursday (hence the reason he has the day off from Joseph) so watch out for any media articles about this after the event. To find out more about the ball click here and look at the news on the 17th June 03.

22/06/03: There are 4 new pictures of Stephen on wireimage.com of Stephen at the Stella Artois Tournament Committee Luncheon hosted by Sir Frank Lowe and his wife. Click the link above or here to see the photos.

11/06/03: Stephen didn't perform in yesterday's show and isn't performing in the matinee today and probably not the evening show either however he is hoping to be back on stage tomorrow, check the official message board for the latest updates on this as and when we get them as they will be put there first.

07/06/03: Stephen did do all three shows in the end today as Vivienne was still away.

06/06/03: It has now also been confirmed that from now on Stephen will only be doing two of the three shows every Saturday - details of which show each week will be put on the Official Message Board/ site news in advance where possible.

05/06/03: What I heard rumoured on Tuesday has now been confirmed on the official site that Stephen will not be performing in the shows on Thursday 26th June or at the 5pm show on Saturday (7th June), Lee should be performing in these shows instead.

04/06/03: Just to let you all know Kay is doing the job of the Narrator as Vivienne is off ill at the moment, Hayley is playing Mrs Potiphar and Henry has been filling in for her. Also there have been some more questions added to Stephen's site.

02/06/03: Stephen's interview with the gay magazine Now UK has finally appeared in the new issue (#53). Read the magazine in pdf format once loaded click on 'Technicolour Dreamboy' - please note some of the content other than Stephen's interview may not be suitable for younger readers. 29/05/03: Stephen's new last day in Joseph should be the 30th August (unless it changes again obviously). So he will be continuing with the show until then.
[And hopefully a little bit more good news for you all, I finished my exams on Tuesday so should be back to updating the site properly from now on.]

25/05/03: Stephen was on This Morning on Friday and did a great interview apparently, he mentioned in it that he would be staying on in 'Joseph' until August, hopefully there will be some official information on this soon as to what date his the new last day is. Also Stephen has left another message on the Official Message Board and some more of his answers to fans questions have been added to his site.
[Five exams over - one more to go then I will be back to updating this site properly.]

19/05/03: Good news, Stephen is back on stage performing tonight. Also Stephen was deffinately on 'Xchange' on the 13th May which was repeated on the 14th, he did an interview and they showed a clip of Joseph apparently. Check out 'Media Watch' on the offical board for details of what was shown of this on 'Xchange Xtra' on Saturday, as it seems most people unfortunately missed it.
[On the other hand a bit of bad news, I have a week full of exams starting tomorrow so may not be able to update the site as much as I have been recently, however any important news will still be posted asap and keep checking the official site and message board too.]

17/05/03: Stephen is still unwell so unable to perform today however he is hoping to be back on stage by Monday - keep checking the official board for the latest information on the situation. 14/05/03: The official site news has been updated, with details of another tv appearance - for ideas as to when this might be on see Events Calendar. A couple more questions and answers have been added to Stephen's site again and also don't forget today is the last day to leave your questions for him on the official message board.

13/05/03: Two more fan questions and Stephen's answers were added to his official site yesterday.

10/05/03: Stephen has just been on World Service on The Ticket this is repeated tomorrow at 00:05am and 08:05am (GMT) and you can listen to it on the internet here Transcript.

10/05/03: Stephen wasn't on the show on World Service yesterday however he was at the studios between those times so I assume he was prerecording for something (see Events Calendar for suggestions as to what). Stephen also isn't in the current issue of TES as expected so keep your eyes open for his interview hopefully appearing soon in that. However Stephen did get a mention in Keith's column this week.

07/05/03: The news on Stephen's Official Site has been updated to say he'll be on BBC World Service on Friday and also on This Morning on 23rd May (for more details check out his site and also the events calendar). 06/05/03: A couple more questions that Stephen has answered have been added to the official site today.

05/05/03: Some more fan questions answered by Stephen have been added to the interactive section of his official site. Also don't forget there is no show today - hope he enjoys having the day off!

02/05/03: It seems Stephen's interview in the Times Educational Supplement will be in the issue on the 9th instead of the one today.TES. Also I forgot to add that Stephen has now received all your messages that were sent through this site before Saturday. Two photos can now be seen on Rexfeatures of Stephen with the boyz Boyz Zuma 1 Boyz Zuma 2 and there is an article on Showbiz.ie too. Finally Stephen's Official Site seems to be up and running again which is good news.[I will add all the photos and articles to the relevant sections of the site soon however due to limited time with exams coming up I am linking them all from the news as well at the moment.]

01/05/03: There is an article in the Sun today about Stephen, Keith, Mikey and Shane being spotted having dinner together on Tuesday, including a photo of the four of them. Also Stephen's Official Site is temporarily not working - any updates will be put on the official message board until it is back up again.

30/04/03: Stephen has left another message for his fans on the official message board. Nice to hear he is all better now, look in the 'Messages from Stephen' section on the board to see what else he has to say. Also see some pictures from Stephen at the opening might of Joseph on WireImage.

29/04/03: Mikey saw Stephen in the show tonight and apparently was very impressed by Stephen's performance. Shane and Keith also apparently met up with them afterwards.

28/04/03: Stephen is back performing tonight so hopefully is all better and refreshed from a couple of days off.

26/04/03: Stephen is still unwell and so as predicted wasn't performing in the the shows today. Hopefully he should be back by Monday though, and obviously I'm sure everyone wishes him a speedy recovery. Also there is a picture of Stephen at the Billy Elliot premier from a few years ago in M Magazine (with the Mirror) as part of a 'campometer' - he is apparently in the half way house but a comment about the loincloths was made.

25/04/03: Stephen will not be performing in tonights show and possibly not in tomorrows shows either as he has a throat infection - see his official board for more information in General Discussion. Also on a better note Stephen's interview in the Times Educational Supplement should be in the next issue on 2nd May.TES.

24/04/03: The show on the 5th May has apparently been cancelled - if you have tickets for this show then you need to contact the ticket agent you bought the tickets from. Also there is another offer for the show - this time from Dress Circle on 29th May. It is similar to the previous Whats on Stage offer, and says there is a chance afterwards to meet members of the cast and creative (again no guarantee Stephen will be at that). Also I will be hopefully giving Stephen your messages on Saturday so if they are to be included in this set then you need to have sent them by Friday (tomorrow). Any sent on Saturday or after will be given to him, but at some point in the future. [Have been away for a couple of days so couldn't update the news with this earlier.]

22/04/03: This site is now three years old! Thanks to everyone who has been visiting it and hope you have found it useful over the years and enjoyable. Keep coming back to find out all the latest about Stephen and what he's up to.

Also keep your eyes on the press for Stephen popping up soon, he has done interviews for The Times Educational Supplement (apparently including questions about his education, favourite teachers etc), Sunday Mirror Magazine due to be in next weekend and also watch out on tv for '1999 - The Year Of Pop' due to be broadcast in June (more info on official site news). A couple of new questions and a fan gallery have also been added to the official site.

11/04/03: I am planning to give Stephen the next set of 'Messages for Stephen' from this site before I go back to Uni (in two weeks time) so feel free to send in a message to be passed on to him, about how much you have enjoyed seeing him in Joseph or whatever you like.
[I know its not strictly news but seemed to fit here better than any other section of the site.]

10/04/03: Watch out for Stephen appearing on your TV screens and in the media again soon as he recorded something on Tuesday and also has more interviews today. Stephen's Official Site has been updated with two more fan questions/answers.

06/04/03: Stephen's official site has been updated with some more questions he has answered that had been sent in from fans via the messageboard - these can be found in the 'interactive' section of his site. He talks about how he would like to do a new album and a cast recording of Joseph if possible. Also there are a couple of messages/a vote in a poll on the official message board from Stephen aswell.

04/04/03: There is a competition on the Really Useful Groups website to win some Joseph goodies. Ticketmaster also have an offer on at the moment where you can buy 2 tickets for the price of 1 for Monday to Thursday evening shows 2nd April - 8th May.

01/04/03: What's On Stage have now also reported the news that Joseph has been extended due to it being successful so far.
[This (below) was an April Fools Joke for any of you who didn't see it/ saw it and were worried:
EXCLUSIVE:Stephen has been demoted in his role as Joseph and had his starring role taken over by another member of the cast owing to their overwhelming popularity...click here to find out more!]

31/03/03: Stephen has done an interview (20 questions with...) for What's On Stage. The Boyzone Ballads album has stayed at number 6 again this week. Also if you have any photos of Stephen that you have taken then these can now be submitted to his official site for a new fan gallery, in addition to the galleries of photos of fans with Stephen. However due to copyright restrictions no photos taken of him on stage in Joseph can be put in this new gallery.

30/03/03: According to the person in charge of merchendise at the New London Theatre there should be Joseph goodies on sale to buy from sometime this week. He said there should be all the usual sort of stuff available, but didn't know if the cast recording would be a new one or the old cast.

28/03/03: Stephen did an interview for Liquid News yesterday which will be shown on BBC3 at 7pm, for those who can't get this channel then its available on the internet via their site for a day after its on tv. Stephen said yesterday that he thought the interview had gone ok. He also received more great receptions from the audience of Joseph the past couple of days. The official site has been updated again with a few things so keep checking that all the time. Also some articles (London Theatre Club and London Theatre) have been appearing about Joseph being extended, however there is still no confirmation to if Stephen will or wont be continuing in the show - at the moment it seems most likely that he is not.

26/03/03: Stephen did a nice interview with Des & Mel yesterday, he talked about Joseph, Boyzone, coming out and ghosts! The new Boyzone album went into the charts at number 6 on Sunday which is really good considering there was no promotion for it really. RUTheatre.com is showing Joseph as now booking up until 28th Feb 2004, however as far as I know Stephen has said he is still only performing in the show up to July as originally planned. Also Joseph and Stephen are still getting lots of positive reviews and comments in the press. Finally Stephen's Official site has been updated with some of his answers to the questions fans sent in via the official message board.

20/03/03: Stephen will be on Today with Des and Mel on Tuesday (25th) on ITV at 1pm. On Sunday (23rd) there is also a best bits of Graham Norton from this week which might be worth watching incase they show anything different from Stephen's show - or just to see him on again maybe (12:10am Channel 4). There is also a new Boyzone Album in the shops this week called Boyzone Ballads - The Love Songs Collection. There are adverts for it on tv at the moment in the UK too - also just incase anyone is wondering, yes it is quite different from By Request. Stephen was on Graham Norton on Tuesday and did an interview and played an interesting game of guess who's wearing which pants! I was at the filming for the show so will put a review up filling in the details of what was said but cut from the tv show asap. Stephen was only on the first half of the show as he had to make it back to be on stage for Joseph, he got a great reception from the audience at the show again and the whole theatre was on their feet at the end, and even singing 'Any Dream Will Do' back to him.

17/03/03: Happy Birthday Stephen! Also Happy St. Patricks Day to everyone celebrating.

16/03/03: There is a nice Stephen interview online at Scotland On Sunday and also in the paper - there are two pictures that go with the article Photo 1 and Photo 2. Stephen was also in great form in the shows I saw him in on Friday and Saturday - the motorbike was back in full working order incase anyone was wondering - and Stephen was wearing a great dinosaur tshirt on Saturday which roared when u pressed it! (Not quite news but thought it deserved a mention!) Also I found out that the pre-record for Nickelodeon was done on Friday and will be aired in mid-May, so watch out for that. Finally I passed on all your messages to Stephen on Friday, that had been sent through this site since the last set I gave him.

12/03/03: Stephen was great in the show again last night - even though the motorbike didn't work unfortunately. He got a great reception from the audience and even though he didn't attend the What's On Stage aftershow party he still got mobbed at the stage door on his way out and stood for quite a while signing and having photos with people - with some helpful cammera advice (push the button harder)for some of them with cammeras that didnt seem to work. Watch out for him on tv again soon, as there are a few things being recorded soon including something for Nickelodeon and V Graham Norton amongst others. He is also on an advert for next weeks 'Heat' and is in this issue of 'OK'. There is also a review of Joseph on the Rainbow Network

09/03/03: Stephen will be appearing on GM:TV on Tuesday (11th March) from 7am on ITV, he will also be in the Pink Paper soon and watch out for any involvement from him in Comic Relief. From all accounts the official opening night for 'Joseph' went very well and Stephen and the rest of the cast got a great reception - there have been quite a few reviews on the net and in newspapers and other media, mostly very positive, however there will always be some critics who dont find shows appealing. He has also been popping up on TV again in the UK on the show I mentioned about before to do with the history of music of Comic Relief. Stephen's Official Site has been updated with a few things too, including some wallpapers for you to download.

Also I am planning to give Stephen the next set of messages from you that have been sent via this site soon (before his birthday hopefully) so feel free to keep sending them in. Finally I hope everyone who has tickets to the 'What's On Stage - Joseph Outing' has remembered that its this Tuesday, I expect I will see some of you there hopefully!
[Sorry for the lack of updates recently - most of the recent articles can be found on the official message board and all the ones I have found will be added to the relevant sections of this site soon.]

03/03/03: Just a quick update to say hope everything goes well for Stephen and the rest of the cast tonight on the official opening night for 'Joseph' in the West End. Look out for reviews and things in the media as I expect there should be some coverage of it tomorrow and in the next week or so, hes been popping up on tv a bit recently too. Hope everyone who is going tonight (unfortunately I can't be there) has a great time and see some of you soon I'm sure!

26/02/03: Stephen performed 'Any Dream Will Do' on Blue Peter today, with the rest of the cast from the show. He also did a quick interview about the show and how doing that differs from Boyzone afterwards. You can see some backstage photos on the Blue Peter Website, and a video clip of Stephen on the show in the Video Den. Soundclips and screencasptures to follow asap.

25/02/03: Check out Stephen's Official site news for a special offer on Joseph tickets until the 6th March at £25, also Stephen was on Radio 5 Live today talking to Simon Mayo about a variety of topics including the press reaction to him coming out, Joseph, the prospect of war, and wearing those loin cloths. Listen to Stephen clips of the interview in the Sound Gallery (section 'Other 2'). Don't forget Stephen is on Blue Peter tomorrow on BBC1 at 5pm.

23/02/03: Stephen's official site has been updated again, and the fan gallery is now online - also I think I forgot to add before that there is a message from him in the Official Messageboard. Lots of photos and articles have been in the press and appearing on the net recently - these have now been added to the Joseph Gallery and Interviews section of the site.

18/02/03: Stephen will be appearing on Radio 5 Live on the 25th February - you can listen live to this on the net. Stephen's official site news and gallery have been updated. There are also now photos at RexFeatures from the press call yesterday for 'Joseph' [Gallery to be updated asap and also Interview section].

18/02/03: Stephen is all over the papers today and in the press, after the photo/press call yesterday for the show. There are some new pictures at WireImage and PAphotos (will be added to the gallery later). Also there is an article on the dailyrecord and I have heard about the Star and the Sun have something in. Keep your eyes and ears open and also check out his official messageboard for more updates on what media he is in. I'll update the site again later with articles and scans etc - just thought would pre-warn you all so you can go get copies for yourself if you live in the UK. There are also apparently posters springing up around London and in the tube stations to advertise the show, which is nice to hear. Other articles online are at Theatre Now Whats On Stage The Sun. There are probably some more - will put them up as and when I find them, got to get off to lectures now!

17/02/03: There have been a couple of updates to Stephen's official site today - you can submit photos now for a fan gallery (see the news) and also there is a message from him in the message board. His appearance on RI:SE has apparently been delayed, and watch out for reviews and Joseph related things in newspapers and magazines soon.

16/02/03: Stephen was great in the first two performances in the West End of Joseph, despite a couple of technical hitches in the first one. He got a great reception from the audience both nights I was there, I have also heard the three shows yesterday went well. There are a few changes to the show both muscially and in terms of costumes and set, and a couple of changes to the cast, but it is mainly the same as in Liverpool (I'll write a review about these later). Also he said the gaps at the side of the stage are too small for the motorbike so I doubt we'll be seeing that again. There was an interview with Stephen in the Daily Mail Weekend Magazine yesterday. Page 1Page 2. Also don't forget he might be on RI:SE on Wednesday. The tv guide also has him as being on Blue Peter to sing something from the show on the 26th February.

12/02/03: I have added a New Joseph Section to the site in place of the old one with all the latest information about the show in it - hopefully this will make it easy for you all to find out anything you need to including about booking. There are also some new photos in there. In other news - Stephen's name is apparently literally up in lights outside the theatre in the West End now.

07/02/03: What's on Stage have an offer on their website to go with them to see Joseph on the 11th March for £23.50, including a post-show reception with invites going out to all the cast. The first 50 to book will get extra goodies and the group in total will be about 150-200 people. More Details / Book Here. There is also a new picture of him at the Old Vic Party on RexFeatures.

06/02/03: Stephen's Official Site News was updated again yesterday, its has now confirmed the Joseph dates and says he will do all shows unless he is ill. Also he was at Elton Johns Charity Concert yesterday to mark Kevin Spacey taking over as director of the Old Vic in London, where he sang 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight' from The Lion King. There should be an interview with Stephen in the Daily Mail or mail on Sunday soon, and Stephen and Keith are also planned to be appearing on RI:SE on channel 4 on the 19th February, but that is yet to be confirmed along with other media promo. There are some pics of Stephen at the Elton aftershow party at The Old Billingsgate Fish Market in London on WireImage. [I will be updating the Gallery soon with some more Joseph pics and others.]

05/02/03: There is now a Joseph site as part of the Whats On Stage site. It includes some pictures of Stephen on stage, a press release, more pictures in the 'press office' and other information. There have been some adverts for the West End production of Joseph in the national papers, there are now 6 questions in the video interview with Stephen on his official site and the first night of previews is a week tomorrow, so I will most likely see some of you there. Tickets for the show can be bought from a variety of ticket and theatre sites online or by calling the New London Theatre or ticket companies. There are promotional tickets available on the SOLT deal for 13-27 February.
[Sorry for the lack of updates recently but I have been ill - there will be lots more updates soon so keep checking the site.]

27/01/03: Tickets went on sale at 11am this morning for all the shows on ticketmaster. There are 203 shows in total! Previews are from 13th Feb, with the proper opening of the show on the 3rd March, with a show every weekday starting at 7:30 and Wednesday matinee at 14:30. Also there are 3 shows on Saturdays at 2pm 5pm and 8pm! There has also been a 4th video interview clip added to Stephen's official site.

26/01/03: For anyone who is wondering, the seating plan for the New London Theatre will be as a normal theatre, and not as can be found online which is in the round with a rotating stage. Apparently the theatre can be arranged both ways depending on the requirements of the show. Also there are some new videos on Stephen's Official Site of an interview with him. Not really news but Stephen is apparently in the tabloid papers again, having been spotted out partying in London.

24/01/03: Tickets are now on sale for Joseph on 0870 890 0141, and will go on sale on Monday online from FirstCall. Previews are from 13th Feb, opening night on 3rd March.

23/01/03: Still no proper news on tickets for the West End shows, What's On Stage suggests the weekend, others have heard it may be two weeks away til they go on sale. TheWhats On Stage - Joseph page will soon hopefully be updated with some more info, you can however now leave reviews of the show on the site. Also I'm sure Stephen's Official Site will put up news as soon as everything in officially confirmed, so keep checking there too. Lots of places however have picked up on the news, including theatre websites and teletext - I will add all these to the Joseph section links, or Interviews/Articles section soon. In the mean time I've added a Joseph Wallpaper and Screensaver to that section for you - enjoy!

21/01/03 second update: It looks like Joseph has been announced for the West End. Whats on Stage say it is now confirmed that Stephen will be Joseph in the show opening at the New London theatre, on 3 March 2003, following previews from 19 February. Whats On Stage Article Official London Theater Article They however report previews from the 13th Feb. London Theatre Article Who say both 13th and 19th for previews. Tickets however are not on sale until the weekend.

21/01/03: There are news articles now appearing on several theatre sites (playbill.com, whatsonstage and theatrenet), which say pretty much the same thing as the 'Theatre Now' artcile linked below. Also there is an article on Official London Theatre saying how Joseph is taking part in a scheme to encourage more people to go to see musicals and shows, with reduced prices for some tickets, starting at £5 - which will be nice for any of us planning to go and see the show once or more times! Stephen's official site gallery now has captions to go with the pictures - still no official West End news at present though. However the cut price ticket offer the show is said to be taking part in (listed in 'theatre yet to be confirmed') only goes up to the 28th of March so the show must open before then!

17/01/03: Stephen's Official Site has been updated again with a nice new message board - so you all now have an official place to chat about Stephen! Click on the link above to get to his site and then click on 'New Message Board' and go and introduce yourselves to all the other Stephen fans.

13/01/03: Stephen's Official Site has been updated again with another reivew of the show in Liverpool, and three new photos in the gallery. The last night on Saturday was fantastic, he did two great shows and the reception from the audience, especially on the last show, was phenomenal. Keith and Shane were also there to see the last show and I handed all your messages to him when I saw him during the day. Afterwards the cast all headed off for a party, so hopefully they all had a good time. There is also an article on Theater Now saying Joseph should open in the West End in the New London Theater in March, which fits with what I have heard before.

09/01/03: There is still no official news about 'Joseph' moving to the West End and most of the cast don't seem to know what is happening either. However there are rumours circulating, so hopefully there will be some news on when tickets go on sale soon. Also I have heard there are plans for a soundtrack to be recorded for the West End once the show is there and settled - so that's something to look forwards to. This isn't really news, but what has been called 'Stephen Street' by the fans in Liverpool (due to loads of posters of him advertising the show) disappeared yesterday as all the posters have been removed from the lamposts now. Thank you to everyone who sent me Birthday wishes, I had a brilliant time seeing the show again. Hopefully I should make it there on Saturday too, snow permitting, so if you see me feel free to say hi and I will try and give Stephen the messages everyone has been sending for him about the show etc then.

04/01/03: Happy New Year to everyone - I hope you had a nice time if you were celebrating. While I've been away for a couple of days there have been a couple of new articles appear about Stephen and Joseph. There is a review on The Stage and an interview with the narrator on ICliverpool.

27/12/02: Stephen's official site's news has been updated again today with two reviews of the shows he did in Oxford. Also I found if you are a member of Ticketmaster Priority then there is an opportunity to win tickets to see Stephen in Joseph.

25/12/02: Merry Christmas to all those celebrating today! Enjoy the day off Stephen!

24/12/02: A second update for today just to let you know that Stephen's Official Site has been updated. The gallery has had 3 pictures added and the news has been updated with the BBC Liverpool review. Also a link to his old site has been added. So there is an early present for you ;).
24/12/02: Just a quick update to wish you all a Merry Xmas for tomorrow! Also I think I've forgotten to add this to the news so far - it has been said that Stephen will not be doing the matinee performance on Wednesday 8th January, in case anyone was planning to go to that one. However he should be doing all other shows.

22/12/02: Stephen was on the Lyrics Board in Ireland on RTE yesterday, and his team won - there is a short review of it on the message board. Also from what I've heard from people at the shows Stephen seems to be relaxing and settling into his role as Joseph and is getting better and better.

20/12/02: There have been a couple of reviews in the press of Joseph - mostly positive, however the Liverpool Post was slightly less positive about the show. BBC Liverpool Daily Post. There is also now a full review of Joseph on this site that I have written. Stephen also appeared on BBC 1 yesterday morning (19/12/02) at Alder Hey Hospital as part of a week long feature they are running there. Unfortunately I didn't know about this early enough to inform you. However I've heard he looked great and was his usual lovely self. Stephen was also mentioned on the Weakest Link on Wednesday night - one of the questions was about him.
[Sorry for the delay in brining you this and the review but I had to pack up my stuff and drive over 300 miles home from uni this week after seeing Stephen in Liverpool - all the articles will be added to relevant parts of this site soon.]

18/12/02: Stephen is amazing and makes a fantastic Joseph - I saw the show on Monday and Tuesday and also handed him all the messages, people have sent to him via this site, on the Monday night. Keith was also there on Monday night, which was nice to see and it was press night yesterday. There was a small bit in the local papers about Stephen yesterday but the proper reviews should be in the papers today. There is also small piece on ICLiverpool, ICLiverpool - Daily Post. The crowds gave Stephen a brilliant reception and he received a standing ovation both nights during the finale, even with about 2 or 3 songs still to go, and also at the very end of the show. From what I heard people saying around me during the interval and after the show he is gaining alot of new fans. I hope the press reviews reflect the public opinion! He looked slightly nervous at the start both nights but settled into fantastic perfomrances with a full and powerful voice, even coping with having slightly cut his knee during the first half last night. I will post a full review of the show on Friday on this site. Well done Stephen - roll on the West End - dates should be announced quite soon hopefully. Also Stephen's Official Site www.stephengately.co.uk is now up and running.

14/12/02: There is a review of Stephen's first show on thisisoxofrdshire.co.uk. It's very positive about Stephen's performance and the show in general.

13/12/02: Stephen made his debut performance in Joseph yesterday in Oxford. From what I've heard he was a bit nervous at first but amazing. He is apparently also sporting some new tattoos and a nipple ring! I will be printing out the messages to give to Stephen soon, to take with me to Liverpool - but keep sending them in. Also after you have seen the show you if you want to send any messages saying what you thought of it, I am planning to probably give him a second set of messages on the last night in Liverpool (if possible).

07/12/02: Stephen will soon have an official website again - the links www.stephengately.co.uk and www.stephengately.net now take you to a page saying 'coming soon STEPHEN GATELY the Official Site'. So keep an eye on that for further developments. Also Stephen got a mention on radio 1 yesterday or the day before - I didn't hear what it was about but the presenter said something like 'it looks like the Stephen Gately fans are still going strong' or something to that effect. Thanks to everyone who voted in the Dotmusic Awards again this year - this site was once again the top Stephen site and the third highest Boyzone related site after Ronan's official site and ronankeating.co.uk
There are a couple of new articles etc about Stephen on the net too - there is an interview in the Reading Evening Post and a picture of Stephen backstage at the Kelly Show is now on their website. Stephen has been busy rehersing recently in Bradford and will be with the company in London before going to Oxford this week and then on to Liverpool - he has been described as 'amazing' by people who have heard the rehersals, so hopefully everything will go well for him with the shows. There will be a review of 'Joseph' on this site as soon as I get back from seeing the show for the first time in Liverpool - hope everyone who is going has a great time!
[Sorry for the delay in bringing you these updates but it's not been possible until now - also the pictures and articles will be added to the relavent parts of this site asap. Also remember to keep sending in your meesages for Stephen]

03/12/02: There is a new article about Stephen on ICShowbiz today. It reveals he is 'desperate to find a nice home in Liverpool - so he can show off his talent in the kitchen'. Home Hunter. There are also two new pictures of Stephen on the site - to see them go to Gallery 12.

01/12/02: It appears to have been confirmed that Stephen is actually going to be in the 3 days of the show in Oxford as well as in the Liverpool run.

29/11/02: I found today on the Whats On peeStage pe website that it has Stephen listed as playing Joseph in the shows in Oxford on 12-14 December, before it moves to Liverpool. There are two shows on the Thursday and Friday and three on the Saturday! However is also appears to have him listed for the whole tour so it is probably just a mistake on the website. Also Stephen has been advertised as appearing on the Kelly Show tonight - this is what the website says about him:
Stephen Gately - Stephen was one fifth of one of the most successful boybands of all time ? Boyzone! He is now branching out into the world of stage musicals. Stephen is currently in rehearsals at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool in the title role of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Later next year it is expected to move to London?s West End. For a little taster of what theatre audiences can expect, Stephen performed Any Dream Will Do.
It is on UTV at 21:00 - 22:30 tonight.

28/11/02: There have been a couple of new articles about Stephen today. Firstly apparently the Liverpool Empire Theater have spelt Stephen's name wrongly twice on a 'posh programme advert' and also on 'the printed welcome message'. Name & shame... Also there is a bit about Joseph on ICliverpool in the Xmas shows and panto's section.

21/11/02: As expected Stephen will not be participating in Celebrity Big Brother, however if you get OK or Hello magazine you can see a couple of pics of him at Elton John's party at the In & Out club in London.

17/11/02: Stephen was apparently great at the Xmas Lights Show in Liverpool, a few people I know went and saw him as well. He sang 'Close Every Door', and 'Any Dream Will Do' (and also sang them twice in the soundcheck) and signed autographs for people afterwards. There is an article on ICshowbiz about it. Article

16/11/02: Stephen did two interviews yesterday, that are now on-line at ICshowbiz. One of which is about the Christmas Lights ceremony in Liverpool tomorrow - saying it will be a two hour concert in which Stephen will sing some Joseph songs ending with a huge firewroks display; the other about Stephen and his role as Joseph. Article 1 Arcitle 2
Stephen also appeared on the Top 100 singles program on TV today, talking about No Matter What which was at number 66 and also singing and commenting on some other songs.

14/11/02: Stephen will be switching on the Christmas Lights in Liverpool on 17 November (this Sunday) at 5pm at St George's Hall. 'St George's Plateau will become a snow-capped winter wonderland this year as Boyzone's Stephen Gately and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Jack Spriggs, will switch on the Christmas lights.' The fact Stephen is switching the lights was also mentioned yesterday on Liquid News. There is also an article in next weeks TVTimes, which mentions he may still be a possiblity for Celeb Big Brother - although this seems unlikely during his rehersals for Joseph.

13/11/02: There has been an atricle about Stephen in the Sunday World recently saying he's been for a retreat at Elton John's villa in the South of France. Also there isn't much promotion for Joseph happening at the moment but there was a flyer for the show on Ebay a few weeks ago,so they must be being distibuted in Liverpool - Leaflet.
[Sorry for the lack of updates recently but I haven't been able to use the internet for the past few days and have been busy with Uni work.]

07/11/02: Stephen attended the Dublin premier/VIP screening of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets last night at the Savoy Cinema on Connell Street. Showbiz Ireland Article Check out Gallery 12 to see a photo - looks like Stephen's growing a bit of a beard. There is also an article in the Irish Independent about it that mentions Stephen. Stephen Interviews

05/11/02: In the 'What's on at the Theater' section of icLiverpool there is a short review of Joseph.

01/11/02: An article on Showbiz Ireland suggests that Stephen may be involved in The Dean Martin Christmas Special. It explains how Jason O'Callaghan was inundated with requests for a repeat show of the Rat Pack Ball which included performers Jack L, Mikey Graham, and Stephen Gately. He will therefore be hosting his own Christmas show, 'and knowing Jason there will be lots of surprise celebrity guests.' Tickets are 150 euro each in aid of the David Fennelly Cancer Fund. It will be held on the 13th of December, 2002, in the Four Seasons Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin. Full Article

28/10/02: Remember to check out the Joseph Section of this site, Stephen should be starting rehearsals sometime soon. Also he has been mentioned in the media a couple of times in the past week - on Popstars 'The Rivals' and also there was an article in the Irish Star not long ago (although I haven't added it as its basically a rehash and the same as the last two).
I have also re-done the video den so have a look to find all the videos from the old video den and also quite a few new ones.

17/10/02: Due to a high number of requests and also as planned (due to hopefully having the oportunity to see Stephen again soon) I have re-opened the 'Messages for Stephen' section of the site. This means you can fill out a form to send Stephen a message which will be personally handed to him at the next opportunity.

15/10/02: I have just returned from the Castle Bar to find Ronan on the TV on the Frank Skinner Show - Stephen got mentioned a few times. Apparently Ronan has phoned him and left a message on his answer phone but got no reply yet (he said Stephen was travelling or something so hadn't expected one yet after being prompted by Frank). Also they showed a couple of old Boyzone clips and Frank gave Stephen a plug for his Joseph role in Liverpool. There has also been a rehash of the Irish Independaent article in the Daily Record titled 'I saved Gay from Suicide', which is mainly about Stephens comments on coming out.

14/10/02: Please vote for this site in the Dotmusic Website Awards - it was the highest ranked Stephen Gately site last year! there is also a new interview with Stephen from the Irish Independent interview.

07/10/02 (well actually about 23:30 on 06/10): Tickets are now back on sale for Joseph for the first few dates (16th, 17th and 18th). Ticketmaster - Joseph. Also there is a report at the Belfast Telegraph site about the Buzz Awards.

05/10/02: Apparently Stephen wasn't at the awards in Belfast yesterday and according to Keith he 'missed the bus'. However the show was apparently great and very funny. (Ok I've seen a bit of discussion about this so just want to add that Keith probably meant as he Stephen couldn't / didn't make it to the awards and not literally, also Stephen himself never said he was going it was just rumoured in the press).

02/10/02: Stephen and other members of Boyzone should be at the Buzz Awards in Belfast on Friday as well as many other celebrities - this website might be of some intrest... BigBUzIreland.com. Also in Stephen's interview with the Irish Star not long ago (most of which was from other interviews) it was again said that he will be doing the London run of Joseph in the West End.

27/09/02: I have heard from a reliable source that Stephen will not be participating in Celebrity Big Brother. Also he will be continuing to the West End with Joseph, we should hear more soon. Tickets for Joseph in Liverpool are still on sale, however it appears the 17th is now the first night, although at the moment ticketmaster is only selling tickets from the 19th onwards.

26/09/02: In the Daily Star yesterday there was an article about Celebrity Big Brother Two, stating that it is in aid of Children in Need this time and said 'Ex-Boyzone crooner Stephen Gately and loud-mouthed ex-Spice Girl Mel B have all been picked and Big Brother-mad Graham Norton has bagged himself a place.' about Stephen.
Showbiz Ireland has also now reported about the Rat Pack Ball, see their pics as well as the others already there from the Charity Golf Gala in the Gallery tomorrow.

24/09/02: There are quite alot of rumours flying around about upcoming projects for Stephen at the moment. Included in these are that he will release a single, will do more muscials, Broken Hill will release a single he has written and that he will be in the next Celebrity Big Brother which is due to start in two months time - so nothing concrete at the moment but I should find out something more deffinate soon. Article about Stephen in Big Brother

22/09/02: Now Magazine has reported this week that Stephen 'will also be recording his versions of the shows big hits Any Dream Will Do and Close every door'. It doesn't state if this is for a single or whether its for show merchandise but hopefully we should be able to buy copies at some point. It also talks about his private life and how hes been spotted out with Eloy - not sure that really should be news though.

18/09/02: Sorry for the delay in bringing you this news - I have been moving into my student house over the past few days and only just have internet sorted again.
Anyway Showbiz Ireland has reported a bit more news about Stephen performing at the Rat Pack Ball on Saturday. Article 1, Article 2. It says he will be performing as Perry Como. To find out more about Perry Como search in Yahoo! or another search engine and there are quite a few fansites online.

In other news, I have heard from a reliable source that the changes to Joseph are that there will be new sets, new lighting design, new costumes, a new band (and maybe new orchestrations) in Liverpool. However the show itself is remaining essentially the same as far as I know.

Also for anyone who wants to see it again the episode of Ab Fab that Stephen is in will be repeated on Tuesday at 10:35pm BBC1.

13/09/02: I have just received an E-Newsletter from the Liverpool Empire Theater, this is what is had to say about Stephen and Joseph:

03/09/02: There is a very short article about Stephen in the Irish Star today - it says nothing new though, and Yahoo! Music News has now picked up on the article I reprted in What's On Stage - so Stephen is gradually getting more national press exposure about the production. Irish radio station 2fm have also reported the news from RTE about Stephen's new role.

02/09/02: More news - in an article mainly about Mikey getting a role in a filmShowbiz Ireland have also reported this about Stephen's new role:
In the meantime Boyzone's Stephen Gately has confirmed he is to star in a new West End show. The singer only confirmed the news late on Friday night saying, "I have signed the contract for a new show that will start in the next few months in the West End of London. I can't wait as I have turned down a number of shows over the past few years and now feel that this is the show I want to start my West End career with."

Stephen Story at Ananova. They found this story from the What's On Stage site who mention (as I have already reported) an anticipated West End transfer in the new year.

01/09/02: I have added a Joseph section to the site so you can find out all about the production.

31/08/02: Stephen has said in an interview with the Liverpool Echo that he isn't sure if he is continuing with the production to London - which contradicts what I had confimed yesterday, keep checking back for more news as and when I get it. Also I havefound out the previus article was inaccurate with the dates and the final night for the production is the 11th January at present. However it seems Stephen will deffinately be in London doing something from January.
