very rewarding. The satisfaction that comes from participating  in the successful  operation of an  undertaking such as ours, more than compensates for the donation in time. Please put yourself forward, everyone is valued.
I AM  happy to be concluding my second term as chairman leaving SeniorNet South in good heart, a healthy financial position, a satisfying year of operations behind and a promising one ahead.
ONCE AGAIN my thanks to all who have worked so long and hard throughout the past year to achieve all our goals.

GRANT SIDAWAY'S VISIT

TELECOM'S roving ambassador and SeniorNet's advocate, visited us on March 25. Grant spent most of the day with members of the committee and we all benefited from the wide exchange of questions and answers. The opportunity to hear the future possibilities for SeniorNet was appreciated,
as was the standing offer to come and address the group. All very encouraging. Growth, nationally, is continuing at a rapid rate. Grant's appearance on Mercury television prompted a few  enquires as did the article in the Southland Times.
In case you had wondered, those 'Spot' coffee mugs came to  us courtesy of  Telecom

                                        SURVEY RESULTS

OUR THANKS to the 10% of you who returned the survey sheet included in our last newsletter.
The results were very interesting and gave your committee the information sought.WORKSHOPS (82%) and SOCIALS (73%) received  the highest score, confirming our feelings. The present FEE structure has majority support.
A FREE SAMPLE session was approved by 73% and all agreed to recommend SeniorNet to others. Four people added helpful suggestions. All in all the survey served its purpose and will, no doubt, be acted upon by the new committee. Realistically, knowing is one thing making it happen is another. A full and active, committee is needed to bring these things to fruition.
