TIME has scurried by since we began
classes in February '98 The year has seen
progress in both student numbers and new
classes.e.g., Database,
Spreadsheet, Publisher 97 &
98. Internet, particularly E-mail,
classes are becoming more popular as
Barry and Winnie work to improve the
course.
351 students attended class
last year.
WE hope to
introduce more new classes shortly.
Genealogy (Brother's Keeper) has received
a 'test run', resource material for Word
Processing 3 has been received while
Ngaire and Darrin are working up a
Publisher 2 course including Scanner
application.
LOOKING back
over the past year, I feel very proud and
greatly encouraged. We have good, hard
working, tutors always positive and
cheerful. It is a privilege to work with
such a great group and I extend a deep
vote of thanks to them all.
Regards, Valmai (Evans)

NOW IS THE TIME TO SET THE DATE
At age seven I knew the date,Feb. 8
1937
meant the eighth day of February 1937.
Not anymore. Since computers took over
Feb. 8 1937 may be written as 08-02-37
eighth day the second month 1937.
But, not necessarily so. The first digit
may
represent the day, month,-even year.
At the turn of the century guessing the
date will become even more difficult.
What does 02-04-06 mean?
April 2 2006?, April 6 2002?.
Feb.4 2006 or June 2 2004?.
Time for some serious sorting
out to be done? I think
so. Thanks Marie
