Do you have Brian Littrell on the brain? Is the Lexington Backstreet Boy close to your heart?
Well, now you can say it and mean it.
Two new items that benefit the Brian Littrell Healthy Heart Club for Kids are hot off the presses of Lexington's Hands On Originals.
One is a T-shirt with the club logo on the front and a photo with Littrell surrounded by children; the other is a floppy hat with an embroidered logo. (There's a choice of denim and khaki, and I haven't seen the khaki yet, but the denim is adorable).
So how can you get your hands on these prized garments? Several ways:
Wildcat Wearhouse, 415 South Broadway.
Price: $20.
Through St. Joseph Hospital, a partner of the Heart Club. Either log onto the
St. Joseph HealthCare Web site (http://www.sjhlex.org)
or call 313-1705. Price: $18 (plus $4 for shipping).
Try to get them before the Boys' upcoming concerts at Rupp Arena.
Although you'll be able to buy them at both Lexington shows, Nov. 26 and 27, the
prices will go up to $30, according to Winterland, the group's merchandising
company.
All proceeds go to the Brian Littrell Healthy Heart Club for Kids.
Littrell, a 1994 Tates Creek High grad, was born with a heart defect, and underwent corrective surgery in 1998. The club will ultimately offer education, exercise, nutrition and perhaps rehabilitation for children with congenital heart problems or those at risk to develop heart conditions.
