One could compare Jean Bardy's
second compact disc with an album made of standards, but original ones. The melodies are
simple without being pretty-pretty. Forms and harmonies can sometimes be unusual, but
everyone gets to enjoy the music. One day, while he was performing with Chet Baker, Jean
Bardy received this advise from the master : "Do not spoil the space". Bardy
