The Tone Poets succeed in
combining the strong lyrical approach of Stéphanie McLean and the elegant, unobtrusive
arrangements of Jake Langley with the unerring swing of the band as a whole. The program
presented here highlights the varied facets of the band and its members. In addition to
some strong writing from Jake and Stephanie, a wide range of jazz repertoire is covered
