News

Welcome to the Tigertailz news page, this where you can find out about what's new with the Tigertailz fan page.

I would love to hear from other Tigertailz fans, if anybody has any demos, live videos, or live pictures I would like to hear from you, I would like to add some live pictures  to the site. I am always looking to trade.

6/12/04 - The is some pretty late news, and I'm sure have all heard about it by now. Kim Hooker, Jay Pepper, Pepsi Tate, and Mic Hourihan are reforming Tigertailz. check out the website at http://www.tigertailz.co.uk/

I am eager to hear some new material from them, they have an album almost recorded and ready to go, they are in talks with some record labels. So we'll see what happens.

Where does this new lineup leave Steevi Jaimz's version of Tigertailz? I'm not sure, and only the future will tell. I for one will continue to support both projects. I have always loved all facets of this band, and every album and lineup has something unique to offer. I think there is definetly room for both projects, however who gets to keep use the Tigertailz name remains to be seen. I enjoy Steevi's version, I like the new demo, it has that gritty feel of the Young and Crazy album. I am looking forward to hearing his new album as well.

Best of luck to both versions of the band

4/17/04 - King of the World Demo EP

I just received my copy of  KING OF THE WORLD, the new Tigertailz demo EP. I have to say that I really like it a lot. There are three new tracks on the disc, King of the world, Tigerfeet, and Kill the clown. The three tracks definitely have the classic Tigertailz feel. After listening to these new tunes, it has me really looking forward to a new album. These are demos, so the quality isn't 100% pure digital, there sounds like there is a little bit of  lossy-ness in the high end (you can hear it in the cymbals). You can order the new demo at the bands new website www.tigertailzrockz.com

Phil Vokins is Tigertailz new guitarist, I'm not sure what happened with Joolz, but I'm sure Phil will fit in just nicely.

I updated the discography page today as well.

9/7/03 - The Nottingham Rock City show didn't happen. Apparently Enuff Z Nuff wasn't able to perform.

www.tbrecordslimited.com is the bands new label, that have some other awesome acts on that label...including the phenomenal band.....Robin Black and The Intergalactic Rock Stars, Pretty Boy Floyd and Crash Kelly (I highly recommend the album penny pills).

A new Tailz album is slated to begin recording this fall.

07/11/03 - Some great new news on the Tailz reunion....this is straight from Ace Finchum:

Tailz will be playing a live show on August 24th at the Nottingham Rock City opening up for Enuff Z Nuff. The new Lineup will be:

Steevi Jaimz - Vocals

Ace Finchum - Drums

Joolz - Guitars (Joolz is steevi's guitarist)

Greg Wraith - Bass

Jay Pepper was asked to join the reunion, but declined due to family commitments. Kim Hooker was also asked but declined as well.

A new album will begin being recorded on October 7th.

I will keep you posted with more updates as I get them.

10/28/00 - added a bunch of stuff today regarding Steevi Jaimz, check out the sounds section I added some low quality mp3's. Also check the Bio. Also check out my review of the new album below. I'll hopefully be adding some recent pictures of Steevi. Don't forget to check out Steevi's Official Homepage at http://steevijaimz.moonfruit.com

I also added a rankelson mp3 file in the sounds section.

10/22/00 - I received my copy of Steevi Jaimz album "Damned if I do...Damned if I Don't"

Steevi Jaimz new album is comprised of 12 tracks recorded between 1982 and 1994. It features demos and unreleased tracks from bands like, Warparty, Jaimz Gang, China Rogue, Idle threat, Treason and Crash ko. From start to finish the CD is packed with great hard rock tunes. It's full of memorable riffs and catchy melodies. Every song is great, but a few stand out more than others, my favorites tracks after several spins of the disc are, Shaken (not stirred), Ragamuffin, oneiromancy, and Take me to the limit. I like every song on the disc, these just happen to be my favorite. If you are a fan of hard rock or glam rock, if you are a fan of Tigertailz, you need to do yourself a favor and get this CD. Many of the tracks are available on the tape trading scene, but to finally hear them remastered in a digital format is just awesome. Steevi is a great hard rock songwriter. It's a shame that his talent and ability have gone somewhat unnoticed.

10/19/2000 - Steevi Jaimz has just released a solo CD, it contains tracks he recorded from as far back as 1982. I don't have my copy yet, but when I do I'll post a review for it ASAP. If you would like to get the CD contact Perris Records at www.perrisrecords.com
