RARE WEST COAST SURF INSTRUMENTALS
The Surfmen, formerly The Expressons, released the single Paradise Cove (1/62). Both the band and song name were changed, by the record label, to take advantage of the growing surf craze. With a few line up changes the band became The Livily Ones.
The sauntering drum coupled with the mellow echoing sax lead on Paradise Cove takes me to a peaceful fireball sunset over tranquil waters. The echo drenched guitar, with vibrato bar in full motion, rounded out with the base line, complete the vibe.
