MP3 Single- Tangerine
Tangerine (MP3 Single)
01. Tangerine

Released only on the Sparticus website. Taken straight from the album, unresampled and unremixed. Sparticus decided to release this track as a single due to its success and consistent play up at the Metro Dance Club. Tangerine was done in a hybrid of styles. The majority is strong House, with light Drum'n'Bass percussion.
I would say this track is peachy, but I don't think that would fit right.

Released May 2000. Featuring the singles Adrenaline Rush (in a remixed and much better version), The Technique (remixed in a better version with an entirely new added track, making it a double-track song with no space in between), and Tangerine (a single released after the album). All the other songs were done for the album. Tangerine went on to be a sleeper hit at the Metro Dance Club, which is why it was released after N->R->G. Embassy and White Rabbit had Dan Gudorf on bass guitar.
N->R->G is a good album of techno, but it will never live up to Omni. This is mainly because Omni will feature all original music. Sparticus's true style will also be first witnessed on Omni, and trust me- it's a style that deserves much attention! N->R->G's tracks were mixed from licensed (and expensive) sounds. Sparticus would have done N->R->G all original but he didn't have any instruments (especially his KORG N364, which the entire Omni album is being done on).
But don't get me wrong- this is a great album of techno, nonetheless. It has a great variety of styles, from Dance to Drum'n'Bass to Ambient Dub. It won Sparticus support by DJs, making a name for himself.
Adrenaline Rush is the only song with real lyrics, and they're against hypersonic drums! The Technique has a sample of his computer's voice counting down from three, and then a man shouting GO! from the hit Mac 3-D shooter Marathon: Infinity. Tangerine contains a stuttered sample of Alex saying 'tangerine' and another sample of a girl saying 'I like you!'. Soft As Rain has him saying, 'She's as soft as rain...and as deep as the ocean' repetitively over laid back drums and relaxing harmonies at the end of the album. It's a slow track, what Sparticus calls the album's 'makeout song'. It's also nice if your listening to it as your going to bed- puts you to sleep as the CD wraps itself up.
            Very wicked stuff.

MP3 Single- The Technique
The Technique (MP3 Single)
01.The Technique (Single Version)

Released only on the Sparticus website. Alex was going to bring Tangerine to the clubs as a new single, but he bought new sound licenses and was amazed with them. He was so into it, that he forgot all about releasing Tangerine, and mixed The Technique. This track was looked at as a turning point for Sparticus, as the style The Technique was in differed from the other tracks on N->R->G. Ambient Dub was the style, and this would have to be my second favorite track on the album, as is most people's first favorite.

CD and MP3 Single- Adrenaline Rush
Adrenaline Rush (CD & MP3 Single)
01.Adrenaline Rush (Soft Vox Version)

Released on April 2nd, 2000 at the Metro, the local dance club uptown where Alex lives. The mix on the album is much better than this single, as the climax is stronger and the vocals are much louder. In this mix, you can hardly hear them. This is a track done in a drum'n'bass style over Alex's voice with a hint of UK flavor. It's an excellent track, but like I said- way better on the album. Adrenaline Rush would have to be my favorite track on N->R->G. This was also the only CD single ever released by Sparticus during the N->R->G era.
A fine piece of work from Sparticus.
