Mindgrind is a hard hitting, in your face band from North Eastern Pennsylvania. The band was started in 1996 by Tim Payne, Jason Klemick, Matt Shultz, and Jason Rough. After playing in a bedroom for about a year, Mindgrind started playing shows for friends, parties, and at local clubs building a strong underground fan base.

In 1999 Jason Rough left the band to pursue other interests, stopping Mindgrind in their tracks. The band then recruited Nick Bickhart to play drums, moving Tim Payne to guitar, still with Matt Shultz on Bass and Jason Klemick vocalizing the extreme force behind Mindgrind.

Mindgrind then continued the road to playing various venues in the areas of NY, NJ, PA, and MD. In early 2000 Jason Rough rejoined the band, adding a second guitar and enhancing Mindgrind?s sound to what it is today.
