Put New Years Eve and Canada's Country Group of the Year together and what do you have? A wild and enjoyable party. That's what happened at this up close and personal concert and party.Prairie Oyster was at their usual best putting out hit after hit. You don't realize what this group has done for Country Music in Canada until you listen to their repertoire of hits. They even dusted off some of the early hits from way back.

Joan Besen,John P. Allen,Russell deCarle,Keith Glass,Bruce Moffet and Dennis Delorme have a style very unique to Country Music. Their songs are fresh, yet have a distinctive old time flavor to them. It's music that you can listen to over and over again and still sounding like you are hearing it for the first time. These guys ( and Gal ) are Calgary's favorite, which is shown by having them back for the 5th year in a row at this fun New Years Eve party. Their 2 1/2 hour show was only interruped for the midnight celebrations. The music of Prairie Oyster will fill our household for a long time to come.
