New Vocalist to Join The Four Townsmen
Over the past winter months, The 4 T's experienced some great transition. With the
recent retirement of the groups original baritone , a search began for a new fourth man, of the
vocal harmony group. The remaining members , now a trio, vowed to continue on,
performing several shows with a three part harmony. Yet, a united desire to fill
the opening position within the band was expressed and thus a search began.
Countless phone calls and auditions later, The Four Townsmen are soon to present their new found vocalist and friend in the upcoming 2003 concerts. An entire new show has been established and a fabulous new sound has developed from the transition over the past 6 months.
Pete, Lou, and Hug welcome to the stage a wonderful and multi talented local vocalist and musician,
Mr. Nevin Van Riper. Although new to the oldies scene, Nevin is an expeirenced singer and musician. Nevin plays a soul soothing bass guitar and takes his singing talents very seriously. Intially, Nevin's role was to fill the baritone position, and that He does with expertese. However, Nevin has a range from the basement to the sky. He can cover bass notes as low as the Marcel's ( Freddie Johnson), "Blue Moon" or soar high in the sky with the best of them with his fabulous falsetto tones. Wecome aboard Nevin!!!!! We know you're gonna do great!
For those of you who may have worried abit about the future of The Four Townsmen, worry no more!
We're stronger than ever and coming out hard this year!
See ya all at our next concert!!
