TAKAKO              ERIKO                HIROKO               HITOE

     Speed was formed by the 4 girls from Okinawa on 13th January, 1996. The four girls from Okinawa met when they were studying at the Okinawa Actors Academy. They formed the group and decided on the name SPEED which means Sexy, Powerful, Energetic, Entertainment & Dramatic.

     After their first single, "Body & Soul", had been released on 5th August,96, they became more and more popular. In the same year, they received the title- Rookie of the year in many of the music festivals.

     In 1997, they continued to release their singles and albums. In July, their first concert was held in ODAIBA. They also entered the Kohaku-Utagassen at the end of the year.

     In 1998, Speed's Movie, "ANDROMEDIA", was played. In July, SPEED TOUR 1998 RISE was began. They ended the tour in the Tokoy Dome. And they were the youngest guys who hold concerts there.

     In 1999, they became more & more busy. Eriko & Hitoe  participated in the Japanese TV drama - "LxIxVxE". Takako acted as a daughter of a millionaire in another TV drama.

     Moreover, Takako's Single "My First Love" was released on 25th March,99. Hitoe's Single will be released on 30th June.

The main reason for the breaking of Speed(10/12)

Although speed said that they break up because of the academic, many people think that the main reason is that they want to have more time with their boyfriends. The picture below shows the boyfriend od takako and hiroko.

Issa had date with Takako(18/8) 

According to FRIDAY (Japanese Magazine), Takako & ISSA were found having dinner together in a Tokoy resturant. Aftering having dinner, they embraced each other on the street. And Dream Maker will be played on 23th October.

Both Takako and Issa had new rings(16/8)

Japanese press has discovered that both Takako and Issa had new rings on their fingers recently. When the press asked Issa if the ring was given by Takako, he said that his new ring was only a present given by his sister.

Hiroko's Single (As Time Goes By) will be released on18/9/1999(30/7)

Takako & Eriko got prizes in a TV Drama Competition(19/7) 

Both Takako & Eriko are the best new actors. Moreover, Takako was given another title - Best Supporting Actress.

Hitoe's Single had a good starting(19/7)  

Hitoe's single(Hitoe's 57 Movie) was the 1st running-up in the Oricon Single Chart (5/7-12/7). For more information of the single, click here.
