She stands gazing into the light of a heavenly star
She stays very still with a glow from afar
Why does she pause
Has she lost sight of the cause
Is she looking where she has been
And praying for us over and over again
A stillness and solitude does she keep
For the world with her back to us does she weep
A silence and prayer within her so deep
Until the time all the world must sleep
