Hugh Mundell's 1978 release "Africa Must Be Free By 1983", swiftly established his name as a bright new roots star in the ascendant. The album "Blackman's Foundation" is a superb collection of self produced singles. In 1983 (at the age of 21), the year he prophesised for Africa's emancipation, he was tragically shot and killed whilst sitting in a car (with Junior Reid) after an argument over a fridge.
