The Sockets (included on the rare Nowhere casette), The Craniums, He & Me, and Joe College and the Surfs-up Boys.    He is a native of Columbus, Ohio and studied psychology at the world famous Ohio State University.  His first instrument was an accordion and he continues to play a variety of keyboard instruments (as well as guitar and bass).  He enjoys indie music and his favorite bands include;  <A HREF="http://thebizarros.com" TARGET="_top" TITLE="http://thebizarros.com"><U>The Bizarros</U></A>,<A HREF="http://www.epitonic.com/artists/enon.html " TARGET="_top" TITLE="http://www.epitonic.com/artists/enon.htm"><U> Enon</U></A>, and <A HREF="http://www.epitonic.com/artists/blonderedhead.html " TARGET="_top" TITLE="http://www.epitonic.com/artists/blondere"><U>Blonde Redhead</U></A>.  His writing reflects the influence of many of the old school punk bands (The Vibrators, The Soft Boys, Television, and the Adverts).   He is chief songwriter for SRDU as well as a founding member.  Check out side projects;  Lack of Motivation, Margarine, Slow News Day, The Oopsy Daisies, Orange Like Me, and Jaykus.   He does sound engineering (recording and live sound), plays guitar, harmonica, hand percussion and vocals.  He is originally from northern Ohio and his claim to fame is that he knows just about everyone in the free world. </div> <div> He is a big fan of the White Stripes. </div> <bR> <bR> <div>                                           <IMG SRC="1f5b4ab0.jpg" border=0 width="180" height="171" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <bR> <div> <B>Jim LaRosa</B> - drums, percussion, vocals, guitar - Jim has been playing drums for a long time.  His musical contributions to SRDU included many of their high powered staples (Buckle-Up, Outage, Beer).  He is a Columbus, Ohio native as has been in The Craniums, Joe College and the Surfs-Up Boys, and He & Me. </div> </td> </tr></table></body>
