Well folks this is it my 70 coupe. This car to begin with was a complete accident to me. I was taking my little brother to a friend house and saw it sitting in a yard. So i was like "you know what i like that car and i am going to go in that yard and look at it. I dont care if i get shot." And i did. After a few minutes of conversation with the lovely young lady who owned it i got the gall up to ask if it was for sale and by gosh it was. I like Texas in the summer because everythings so laid back and I got the car for a whopping 2500. Not bad i would say. Offcourse i wrecked on the first day i went home with it. Rain. bias plys, and lots of horsies dont mix. It hydroplaned and i ended up on over a ditch in an embankment. Believe it or not my friend literally pushed off the embankment and out of the ditch. I got about a mile from my house and decided to stop and survey the minor damage on the car i had had only a few minutes. Not bad, but the damn thing flooded out and i ended up having to tow it to my house with a chain. Looked really bad when my parent both met me at the corner by the house likewise just coming from town. They werent happy. I let it sit a while with a charger and cranked it up and to this day, other than stopping for a rebuild, it has run quite well.
The car is a mostly original 70 coupe from Metuchen, N.J. It has a 302 2v which has only been rebuilt (by me) once in its whole life. The only signifigance in the engine compartment is the cloyes double roller chain. Its got about 85k on the speedo. The original color was bright gold and it still has original beige/tan interior. It has a c4. Had air. Currently sports a set of Cragar Keystone Classic mags. I added the hood pins for looks. The interior is in great shape and is the part im most proud off. I need to rebuild the suspension, its not to bad but will get progressively worse. I drive the car 350 miles about every three months or so to school and back. I wouldnt wanna drive any other car on a long trip. For an old stang it is a quite comfortable car.
In the future i want to invest in the front end rebuild. I am probably going to add a set of subframe connectors. I am going to do a bit of bodywork and paint it, probably the same color but grabber orange sounds good. I would like to upgrade the fuel system. I will probably add a 600 double pumper, comp cams 282 cam, headers and a homemade exhaust with 2 chamber Flowmasters.
I cant think of much else to write at the moment, but i will try to keep adding to the page. I definetely need more pics of the car and my brother, and fathers cars.
