Richie was born in HuBei Province, China in June 23, 1968 year of the sheep. He was raised in Taiwan. His blood type is 'B'. He has a sister. He was educated at the university of Wen-Hua in Taiwan. He is very popular in Asia now. Richie's hobbies are Music, Motor Bikes, and sports. Richie is a healthy, nice, socialble, kind, responsible, and very likable fellow. He has a good sense of humor, and is a very resourceful and a strong individual who relies and beleives in himself. He is a leader, not a follower. Richie is a well balanced individual who has discipline, even though he says sometimes he will do things without thinking about it. Right now in the Asia's music industry, Richie is finally getting the fame he deserves.

Richie majored in Physical Education at Wen-Hua in Taiwan. He started a band at college, and he plays the guitar. Richie also was a DJ during college and he performed at many social events and parties. His music idol is Richard Marx. Richie is tall at 1.7 meters and around 160 pounds. Besides music, Richie also loves sports. Richie plays many sports. He likes volleyball, golf, basketball, tennis, archery,weight lifting, and especially loves to race with motorcycles(Off Road racing). Richie also starred in the remake(Taiwan Version) of the second Falcon Series (Sen Diao Sha lu).

(11/6/99) Carrying over 400kg of equipment is too much for any airline. This is what happened when the twenty person crew from Taiwan began their trip from the southern part of China to meet their leading actor and actress, Richie Ren and Anita Yuen in Beijing. Since the overall weight of the luggage far exceeded the total amount which twenty passengers could carry, the airline did not allow them to pass through. However, when one of the crew members mentioned they were working on a TV series which Richie Ren would play the leading role, the airline staff melted at the thought of holding up Richie's production, and only asked if they could have an autographed photo. With photo in hand, the airline staff then went to see the head chief and in a matter of minutes everything was cleared and the crew were on their way to meet Richie and Anita with their excess baggage.

Richie Jen was in Capital of China ,BeiJing, filming the new series "Laughing at the Martial Arts world". After 3 months of grueling filming, Richie returns to Taiwan with bruises, cuts, and a thinner face. He was greeted by fans, groupees, reporters, and dissapointing news. The initial reviews for the series were not all that great. Richie Jen now at the peak of his fame, and gets many commercial promotion requests and song requests from many people and companies that are willing to pay him top dollars for his services, and endorsements. But the main concern for Richie right now is to improve his acting and singing ability. Rihcie says he has a lot to learn, and whishes to be more ubiquitous throughout Asia. That was why after stopping by HK and after recording some songs for Rock, he plans to leave for Europe to make some commercials and learn as much from the Europe entertainment industry. After arriving at Taiwan airport, with grungy hair, he was greeted by loud fans. asked what did he bring for his girlfriend,whom he had not see for 3 months, Richie said he bought her a diamond necklace.

1/2000 When the Taiwanese mega-celebrity Richie visited Atlantic City at the end of last year for his singing tour, he had tried to squeeze a time slot in his busy schedule to visit New York and shoot some photographs for the cover page of his new music album. As he had no time to rest before being photographed, he was worried about how exhausted he may look being displayed on his cover page. However, the photographer said Richie looked even sexier with his sleepy eyes and insisted on the photographs. It turns out that the photographer was right .
